QUETTA: A man was killed and another suffered injuries in a landmine explosion in Maro near Dera Bugti. According to sources, two people, Faratullah and Wali Khan, were walking through the area when one of them stepped on a landmine placed there by unidentified people. As a result of the explosion, Faratullah died on the spot while Wali Khan sustained splinter wounds. Security forces and local law enforcing agencies rushed to the spot soon after and took the deceased and injured to a nearby state-run hospital. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
