Rehabilitation: 10 schools renovated in Nowshera

National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has rehabilitated 10 public sector schools damaged by the floods in Nowshera district, according to a press release. The bank is also running vocational training centres, for rural women. NBP will also set up health camps at Jakra and Chamkani in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, where a team of qualified doctors will provide healthcare and medicines to villagers. NBP has earmarked Rs141.5 million for flood-affected people, out of which Rs25 million was contributed to the Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund 2011. The bank’s staff also contributed Rs16.774 million from their salaries to the Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund.
