I don't think its exaggerated at all. I can relate to more than 70% of the stuff..and even more! Its like living in freakin' stepfordville!
well ofcourse some of these are a bit exaggerated. it's satire man
Most of these seem really forced, like what people imagine desi parents would say, instead of what they actually say.
@ Domlurian: Desi just means belonging to South Asia (India, Pakistan etc.). It has nothing to do with being narrow-minded. That is just a stereotype. This article is funny. I like it though I dont observe most of them these days.
@ Domlurian: The definition of desi is not narrow-mindedness by any stretch of the imagination.
I haVe invested so much on you and this is what i m supposed to hear!!! Nalaiq!!
@Domlurian: desi means traditional, narrow-minded people
I'd like to know the definition of Desi, please.
Parents are Parents whether they are desi or non-desi , one thing is common in all type of parents and that is they love their childrens and want a bright future for them .
desi parents are more civilised.upto certain limits you should be open with your kids.crossing the limit doesnt suit parents.doing that degrade them infront of their childrens like the modern parents.
@ Suleman well If they did atleast you would have been less eager to go on porn sites.

"Kam da na kaaj da, dushman anaaj da" is popular in my family.
"I used to walk miles to reach school, everyday."
. Some of them are hilarious. Good job
This is too exaggerated and stereotypical
Honest, but asinine. Old jokes start to lose their charm.
trust me you won't like it when your parents start talking about sex. So its a good thing they don't.
No parents now a days say things like "You Are A Disgrace To The Family". My father actually haven't said a single thing in this list.
And I thought my tweet was worth mentioning! :D
ThingsDesiParentsSay : Sabzi khao, is mei taakat hai!Well I m proud to have desi parents if the second portion comprises of NON-desi parents sayings...
I must add they dont talk about 'sex' either - its like the word 'sex' is taboo or forbidden in their dictionary. Parents should open up more to their kids.
