ADELAIDE: The Adelaide Strikers returned to winning ways with a 31-run victory over Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League. Having lost their last two matches, the Strikers successfully defended a total of 166 for four to move into second place ahead of a host of teams on superior net run-rate. Captain Michael Klinger (53) and Tom Cooper (43*) made valuable contributions for the Strikers after they elected to bat first. Brisbane were reduced to 26 for three in reply after Kane Richardson removed openers Matthew Hayden (13) and Andrew Robinson (eight) to put the Strikers in the driving seat. Heat were eventually bowled out for 135 in the 18th over.
