HBL defeated Barclays by seven wickets in the 10th Governor’s Cup Inter-bank Cricket Tournament yesterday. HBL restricted Barclays to 122 off their quota of 20 overs before chasing down the target thanks to a 67-run knock from Sharafat Qureshi. In another fixture, NBP recorded a 142-run victory over Habib Metropolitan. NBP posted a mammoth 248 for two, with Sajid Ali hitting an unbeaten 111 and Muhammad Javaid pitching in with 79. In reply, Habib Metropolitan could only manage 106 for eight, with Walid Ahmed three-wicket spell doing most of the damage. Elsewhere, Bank Islami beat Bank Alfalah by nine wickets and UBL inflicted a 92-run defeat on ABL.
