Achievement: Pakistani gets Endeavour Award

KARACHI: The chairman of the computer engineering department at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, Dr Syed Faisal Ahmed Bukhari, has been given the Endeavour Award 2011 by the Australian Government. The honour was bestowed upon him for his unique and comprehensive research work in the field of computer engineering. He beat 3,000 aspiring candidates from all over the world. The research which won him the award was conducted at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia from June to December of this year. Dr Bukhari holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Manchester, England. He has presented his research work at various international conferences and has 14 published research papers so far. He has been working at the SSUET since 2009. Press release
