Cricket: Dera Ismail Khan clinch T20 title

Dera Ismail Khan clinched the Twenty20 Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Inter-Region Cricket Championship.

PESHAWAR: Dera Ismail Khan clinched the Twenty20 Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Inter-Region Cricket Championship, defeating a combined team from Kohat and Bannu by 34 runs in the final. Dera Ismail Khan managed a competitive 134 for eight batting first. Opener Ilyas Khan and Zeeshan top-scored with 21 runs each. Left-arm spinner Zeeshan starred with three wickets for Kohat-Bannu. In reply, Kohat-Bannu were bowled out for just 100 despite getting off to a fine start, with Wisal making 27 and Amir scoring 31. But Hidayatullah and Waheed took three wickets each to ensure victory for Dera Ismail Khan.
