Kidnapping for ransom: Police encounter in Taxilla kills six
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Taxila Raja Tefoor said a rescue operation was launched by the police to recover Dr Talal Ahmed, who was kidnapped for ransom of Rs10 million a month ago.
The abductors opened fire as soon as they saw the police, which provoked a crossfire that killed all four abductors and Sub-inspector Raja Husnain. DSP Haripur Asif Gohar sustained injuries, who has been shifted to Military Hospital in Haripur.
According to police, four members of the same family, involved in the abduction, were identified as two brothers Aijaz and Babar, their mother Taj Bibi and Aijaz’s wife Salma. All of them were killed in the encounter.
When police interrogated the neighbours about the abductors, it was revealed that they had a very suspicious presence in the neighbourhood and that they never interacted with anyone in the locale.
A heavy cache of arms was also seized by the police that included Kalashnikovs, hand grenades and bullets.

Very sad! I wish the rescue mission had only taken out the abductors. May Allah rest the soul of the doctor and Police officer is peace. Ameen!
It is serious as women have also started to get involved in such crimes.
not a great job by police,it was totally a failed operation,it should be conducted through commandos,but alas talal bahi was very lovel person,may his soul peace in rest amen

Time to find out how these people got their hands on the weapons. Find where they got the weapons from and then put everyone that sold them the weapon in jail for LIFE!
The doctor was from Village Gehr Khan (Not Gohar Khan). In the only one call by the doctor to his family while in captivity, he had forbidden his family to pay any ransom as he believed he would be killed anyway. He was kidnapped with the help of two ladies, who were probably also killed in the encounter. Abductors were identified as two brothers Ejaz and Babar, their mother Taj Bibi and Salma, wife Ejaz. All of them were killed in the encounter
what a rescue operation that was - i wonder how they even manage to get hold of that "cache of arms"!
