LONDON: British sprinter Simeon Williamson has set his sights on competing with occasional training partner Usain Bolt in the 100 metres final at the 2012 Olympics following a struggle with persistent injuries. Williamson, 25, has been plagued with knee problems since helping Great Britain win the 100m relay event at the Berlin World Championships in 2009. The sprinter has been tipped by Bolt to do well in the big leagues and is now eager to live up to his billing. “I’ve now got a chance to prove Usain right,” said Williamson. “I definitely want to make the 100m final and will also be hoping to get a medal in relay.”
