Cricket: Mardan through to K-P event semis

Mardan defeated Swat by four wickets to claim a semi-final berth in the K-P Inter-Regional Cricket Championship.

PESHAWAR: Mardan defeated Swat by four wickets to claim a semi-final berth in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Inter-Regional Cricket Championship. Swat elected to bat first and set up a small target of 97 after they were bowled out in 18 overs. Mardan’s Waqar Malik claimed five wickets for just 20 runs. In reply, Mardan chased down the target for the loss of six wickets in 17.4 overs.
