LONDON:

Williams Chairman Adam Parr is confident that his team can turn their fortunes around following a dismal campaign, which saw them claim just five points.

Parr acknowledged that while the 2011 season had been the worst endured by Williams in Formula One, the team was aware that its shortcomings had not simply been exposed overnight. He also revealed that the team was prepared to make sweeping changes to rectify the situation.

“In reality we’ve been in the middle ranks for some years now,” said Parr. “We have realised that not only is the current level of performance unacceptable, there is also the need to make radical changes.”
