Football: Adriano accidentally shoots woman

RIO DE JANEIRO: Brazil and Corinthians striker Adriano Leite Ribeiro accidentally shot a woman in the hand with a gun belonging to his bodyguard, according to The Telegraph. The former Inter Milan player was allegedly fooling around with a pistol in the back seat of his car after leaving a club on Christmas eve when the accident occurred. The victim required corrective surgery to her left hand. Adriano, however, has denied the victim’s version of events. “I was in the front seat while the shooting was done in the back,” said Adriano.
