ISLAMABAD: In modern times, skill development and technical training are essential for any country to attain success or long-term development goals. A pertinent move for the sustainable development of a country is to promote the technical and vocational skills of promising people. This was the crux of a seminar on skill development titled “Aik ghar, aik hunar” here on Friday. Women from flood-hit and earthquake-struck areas of the country also displayed their handicrafts on the occasion. Helping Hand for Relief and Development Country Director Fazal Rehman said, “About 4,000 women will get skill development training next year.” He added that 36% of Pakistan’s total population are living below the poverty line.
