Cricket: Abbottabad trounce Lahore in U-16 clash

LAHORE: Abbottabad defeated Lahore by 191 runs in the PCB-Pepsi under-16 One-Day tournament yesterday. Lahore’s decision to field first backfired as Abbottabad put up 258. In response, Lahore were bowled out for 67 in the 35th over with Faizan Ali claiming three wickets. In other Pool A matches, Rawalpindi beat Peshawar by 119 runs and Islamabad secured a 105-run win against Fata. Meanwhile, in Pool B, Sialkot defeated Karachi by 36 runs. The victors put up 205 batting first before bowling Karachi out for 169 in the 33rd over. Elsewhere, Multan beat Quetta by five wickets while Faisalabad posted a two-wicket win over Hyderabad.
