LAHORE: Several residential localities faced low gas pressure on Friday. The areas where residents complained of low pressure were Model Town, Wahdat Road, Qila Gujjar Singh, Abbot Road, Garhi Shahu, Icchra, Town Ship and Gulberg. The residents of Qila Gujjar Singh were the worst hit. Gas supply to the area was restored on Thursday after a three-day complete suspension. But even on Friday the pressure was too low to cook food. A resident, Muhammad Asif, said that people were forced to either purchase cooked food or use LPG gas cylinders. Abbot Road residents had similar complaints. A resident, Fouzia Salamat, said that gas supply interruptions started about a week ago, “There’s no gas from night till afternoon. That means we can’t make breakfast. The supply is suspended at 8pm again.”
