Over 65 art pieces in collage, abstract and calligraphy were put on display at the Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) on Tuesday, said a press release issued by RAC.

The exhibition introduced Sameera Khalid’s paintings to the art enthusiasts of the twin cities. Khalid, an upcoming artist, got her diploma in Fine Arts from RAC.

She has highlighted social issues in her abstract work. Khalid has used bold colours and lines to create a composition, which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references.

Senator Najma Hameed, who inaugurated the exhibition, called Khalid an asset to this region, adding that her love for art will take her to new heights.

“There is talent in our young generation, which only needs to be explored,” she added. A large number of people from different walks of life attended the exhibition. The exhibition will continue till December 24.
