KARACHI:

MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas Company, the operator of Tal block, has discovered additional hydrocarbon reserves in Manzalai field in Lochkart, Lumshiwal and Samanasuk formations, according to a notice issued by Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL).

The additional reserves would augment oil and gas production from the field by 1,296 barrels per day (bpd) and 30 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) from present levels of 6,997 bpd and 290.7 mmcfd, respectively.

“The development will bode well for POL that has a working interest of 21% as well as for Pakistan Petroleum (PPL) and Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDC) that each have 28% stake in the field,” Topline Securities said in a report.
