Cricket: Islamabad trounce Lahore in U-16 event

LAHORE: Islamabad defeated Lahore by 80 runs in their PCB-Pepsi under-16 One-Day match yesterday. Having put up 232 for the loss of six wickets batting first, Islamabad restricted their opponents to 152 for a convincing win. In other Pool A fixtures, Fata defeated Peshawar by 52 runs and Rawalpindi beat Abbottabad by five wickets. Meanwhile, in Pool B, Karachi dismissed Faisalabad for 137 and chased the target down for the loss of four wickets. The second match of Pool B saw Multan defeat Sialkot by 70 runs, whereas Quetta secured a comfortable 88-run victory over Hyderabad.
