Armed encounter: Three robbers killed in gun fight

KARACHI: Three young men were killed in an alleged encounter with the police in SITE area on Sunday night. The men, between 25 and 30 years old, were allegedly robbing passersby near Baldia traffic police post, said SP Shahjahan. When the police reached the spot, the men opened fire at them. The police retaliated and one man died while the others were injured. All of them were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where two others succumbed to their injuries. The police said that they found three TT pistols and looted gold, cell phones and cash.
