Football: Valencia win as Soldado scores brace

MADRID: Roberto Soldado scored both goals to take his La Liga season’s tally to 11 as Valencia defeated Malaga 2-0. Jonas Goncalves produced a superb ball that Soldado latched onto before skipping around the goal-keeper to break the deadlock on 36 minutes. His second was thumped home on the volley in the 61st minute after a great cross from Jordi Alba. Elsewhere, Levante lost 2-1 at Granada while Real Betis won 2-0 at Atletico Madrid.
