His All Pakistan Muslim League had arranged a public gathering at Nasser Bagh and party workers from across the country participated.
Musharraf said that the ISI and Army were a guarantee of Pakistan’s solidarity and sovereignty, adding that some elements were conspiring to use the ‘memo matter’ to defame the ISI and the Army.
Musharraf said that both leading political parties had been in power but delivered nothing.
The former president urged the people to cast their votes for capable leaders ignoring affiliations of caste and creed and clear of linguistic, religious and provincial prejudices.
Endorsing the demand of PTI chief Imran Khan, Musharraf said, all politicians should disclose details of assets, adding, “I will announce the details of my assets on my arrival in Pakistan.”
He also said that Pakistan faced enormous crisis’s due to incompetent leaders. No institution could steer the country out of the current quagmire on its own, he said.
“I led Pakistan towards prosperity and stabilised the economy during my regime. I also improved the image of the country worldwide. I will soon be among my countrymen. Those making all kinds of allegations against me will be unable to prove a single allegation of corruption against me,” he added.
Earlier, APML secretary general Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Punjab president Mian Zahid Sarfraz and central media advisor Fawad Chaudary also spoke to the gathering.

Sir Cherat is your home and I have my land there. I want to gift you because you are a brave comando of SSG.
Sir Gernal of gernal ,commando of commando, hero of KARGAL we need you.You are a brave gernal and prezident.plz cum back. pupil of astore love you.
@Maryam: Sounds like you are Maryam Nawaz Sharif. If you are then listen, don't spit your personal grievances here, go to courts in Pakistan and file your complaints there. As far as Musharraf is concerned, he has been one of the best leaders Pakistan has ever seen. After all he is human as well and might have done mistakes—where as N-league and Zardari-league have done no mistakes BUT have been sucking blood of Pakistanis and Pakistan. So, the only hope now left is Imran Khan. or else it would be Musharraf (for which chances are slim because of propaganda we see against him at every single forum)
God bless Pakistan and Pakistani's and to hell with the corrupt leaders and their families!
All Pakistani youth and educated citizen is with you sir, we all support you and desperately waiting for your speech in Karachi, I believe your speech in Karachi will change the overall picture of Pakistan. Sub se pehle Pakistan
We are ok with Imran Khan.
@Anjum Amin Siddiqui: While the rest of the Muslim world wants to put dictators in jail, some confused people want to welcome a man like Musharraf who took over illegally and destabilized the nation- sad!
musharraf zindabad!!! we will await you sir!!!
Former President Pervaiz Musharf welcome to you in Pakistn and good command on politician and strong grip on International media with lot of knowledge. you are a good general and a good administrative.need to Pakistan.
This country realy needs the administrators like you. You are very intellegent and inshallah easily over come the problems prevailing on the country. Pervez Musharraf Zindabad and Pakistan Zindabad.
Musharaf is a great leader for country like Pakistan, he is honest, brave, intelligent, intelect, mannerd and on top of all, he is very very sincer to Pakistan, Pakistan Forces and Nation. We have never heard a single case of corruption against this man.
Pakistan need leader like Musharaf.
The sad story is that Pakistani leaders bring about corrupt democracy time and time again and they are the one to blame for the falure of democracy and no one else. When the country is plundered and looted and people's life at risk at every turn . . .it is common sense that the only ethical institution with integrity is the Pak miliitary and it will be there to play its national role to save the nation from the plunderers and looters who do not have the larger interest of the nation at heart and have been causing security and economic risk to the nation. So, no one can blame Pak military from taking appropiate action!
@Anjum Amin Siddiqui - Agree with you only partially . . .and you need to question why he left? He did not leave willingly . . .he was forced by the politicians with the help of powerful foreign countries and Indian lobby and the politicians of Pakistan hungry for power. The nation watched this shockingly, silently and never protested . . .they brought it upon themselves. Therefore, one cannot blame Musharraff completely.
The chaos surround Pakistan is the gift of Musharraf, why on earth he entered into deal with Late Benazir and why he impose NRO. He came into power riding the wave of accountability and left us with unaccountable people. The country has seen so many Masihas both democratic and undemocratic now we need a human.
We need you sir please come back during your time our country was way better than its today the country economy the third fastest growing economy after china and india, there wernt any massive problems in the country, the country was in a state of development and progress. This so called democracy has done nothing for the country infact destroyed it.
Sir do come back to the country as a president and work for the nation as you previously did.Only you and Imran khan can make a bright future for our country,I will support you in the upcoming elections 2013
yes, we want him back
@First drink, don't think: If Musharraf is your definition of an educated man, you really have to learn the definition of education. Musharraf was a dictator who took over illegaly and proved to be worse than any elected politician. In my view, he behaves like a most UNEDUCATED person since he does not respect the constitution and rule of law. Musharraf should stay in UK with Shaukat Aziz- his criminal partner.
The current number of people who commented is 143-out of which 10% have rejected Musharaf. The rest 120 is the exact number of authentic"votes he will get if he returns to fight the election!
**asalamoalykum mr musharaf you are the most faverout persnality in present time people with short vission cannot understand your approach toward present difficulties pakistan is facing its good u have decided to come a little earlier than given time the nation is waiting to see you on political ground like you have fought on battle ground.you are a solder so only you can do it ,all the illitrate enemy will run away ALLAH is with you and welcome home.
**asalamoalykum mr musharaf you are the most faverout persnality in present time people with short vission cannot understand your approach toward present difficulties pakistan is facing its good u have decided to come a little earlier than given time the nation is waiting to see you on political ground like you have fought on battle ground.you are a solder so only you can do it ,all the illitrate enemy will run away ALLAH is with you and welcome home.
he committed mistake so does we.I am with him.PTI and APML will be a viable alternative for people. As far as trial is concerned He is an x-army chief ;).
APML All the way. Musharraf is the true Leader of my Nation.
Wellcom to pakistan and proof that you are honest with pakistan ,Musharraf, her I will advise thos peoples who make ther disions only efected by presently two bigest political parties frontmans wrong statements, actually these two partiers lost there ways with geliousy and have no right solutions to keep the pakistani nation on right path. I appreciate all the honest peoles including Musarraf and Imran who are trying to keep pakistani nation on right path .
Ali, I agree with you 100%. Imran Khan Zindabad! Parvez Musharraf Zindabad! Paak Afwaaj Zindabad!
Please come back and end this curse called democracy!
@PakiKaki: You sure do have a temper. Let the people decide. Itna ghussa ma'am?
@PakiKaki: Good read Kaki. In a democracy people get the government they deserve. Unfortunately its the dumb ones who end up being the majority and make the rest suffer.
@First drink, don't think: I dont know about education here, but PTI definitely does not have vision.
most wel come back PM
The best hope for the country is for Imran Khan and Parvez Musharraf to come together. They will offset each other's weak points, which every human being has. The fairest elections in the country were held under military supervision during the time of Yaha Khan, when ZABhutto and Sheikh Mujibur Rehman came into power. The only way Imran Khan and Musharraf can come ionto power is for the forthcoming elections to be held under military supervision.
@Umar What do you think of Holy prophet leaving Mecca?.What about khomeini living in France? What about Quid E Azam leaving India for U.K for many years being disgusted with local politics?
@Fawad: Economy gve the illusion that is was doing well because of us aid and removal of un sanctions When pop came to power poor law and order situation ruined foriegn investment American aid no longer covered cost of anti Taliban operations And musheraffs Loose credit policy led to high inflation which led to rupee devaluation Current rupee depreciation is all due to political instability
@oasis
You mean we need to educate the people to respect the corrupt leaders, yes then including you many are already well educated. Please if you people cannot honor honest and dedicated leaders such as Sir Pervez Musharraf then it is your own problem, not to blame others.
Pakistan first.
@Umar:
stop rambling and go get a life. half of the stuff you are saying isnt even remotely true. learn the facts and then come back and talk. if you're implying president musharraf is corrupt, where are the corruption cases? why is it that not one political foe has found one shred of evidence? you think he's so good at hiding it that a single person hasnt found any corruption in 9 years? stop fooling yourself and everyone else.
LOL! a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.
I can bet he will not return
Welcome sir, pakistan needs leader like you your era was a golden time of pakistan in pakistan there is only one leader nd that is you no one is like you
Sir u r most welcome you have done good things for pakistan they have finished your local bodies system pls start it again no govt can do progress as u have done in every thing we wil wait for u
When i see the level of loan imposed onPakistan by the so called leaders, I feel he was right.
You will see, he will come, and faced all the cases, he is braver than all because has been soldier of Pakistan army, trained and expert of guarella war fare.
hypocrisy was committed and in reaction he acted and succeed in overpowering the state administration.
Deposed head of the government was tried and proved guilty,he was convicted and sentenced for.
On the completion of the tenure,Musharraf submitted the power and gone away.
In his absence, fabricated criminal cases was got registered against him and confiscated his property.Injustice was committed.
To come back is fundamental right of his.He would face all the cases registered against him, let him come.
the fact is that he proved himself a better ruler than all ruling the country this time. In case ,you want come to the right conclusion please read the history of the country, especially pages related to the economy of the country including International Monitory Fund's loan.
Welcome Mushraf to your own country but first you should fight with our croupt system and you should also introduce new faces with clean back ground because you have to create new political system for the betterment of the country. We should depend on our own resources instead of others and this is the only way for the development of the nation.
@Samra Irshad: You have the right to your opinion. Many have same views. I would like for likes of yourself to go event by event that pulled Musharaf into the game, the environment, and what better could g have Don. It would be interesting to hear detailed viewed based on logic and reason.
@First drink, don't think: Why join PTI...?,We have APML...WHY IK is taking our EX-Ministers .Some days before He was blaming PM government..
sir but plz do smethng for our pakistan. . . save us from these criminals......
@Akbar khaan: I can quote many retired generals...........just study some history of the world. I think you will be amazed
@Wise word: 100 % Agreed.
Dear Sir, I am an Accounts Officer and i m big follower of you you should come back and uplift pakistan economy at the stage of 2006-07.
Imran Khan will not have outright majority to form government,he will have to have support from other parties also. Musharaff is the best practical person and has good international relation, which is very big advantage.
Pakistan was and will proposer again under Musharraf rule. I can now see light at end of the tunnel.
well your are brave man you have to be there , before finiah every thing in pakistan
saud
put this guy behind bars
He must come and face the charges leveled against him.....He must be brought to justice
Thank you Sir, Please come!!n We all welcome you
We need to get our Water back from INDIA, he is on the go to take all of our water....
@malik, lahore
Obviously Zardari & Musharraf have reached some understanding during the former's sojourn in Dubai.
Musarraf will collect dollor with dignity for the development of Pakistan . He will get all out support even from India . He will use his arm forces to eleminate the terrorist and solve the Kashmir issue to divert them on the western front . He is a Muzahir having a good knowledge about India and will convert Pakistan in to a mini India by declairing it a secular state .
Let's see if he really comes and watch his performance. Why speculate? Perhaps a coalition may be better than a single party rule.
@Fawad: Do you not realise that the whole world is in a global recession? The inflated number of Musharraf have proven to be as false as dictatorship. Under Bush the US economy seemed great but the bubble burst. Why do people like you still believe in the phoney bubble in Musharraf? Musharraf was perhaps the worst leader in Pakistan's history because he destabilized the nation and left it in the worst state ever.
@Hu Jintao: u r rite
@hamza khan: u r inviting mushraff so dat we will sell our another sister like afia siddique to americans rite????
@Gahratmand
Thiss news has made my day. Pakistan first. Allah bless you Musharraf. We need you.
Welcome Sir, after your arrival people will forget IK's tsunami who is currently riding on your vote bank.
Welcome Back Sir i wish you very good luck and want to see you back on in power but promise me you will me back my real Pakistan Back
He is the grand-mother of the problum pakis are in today & you want him back, it says all world in 21st century, Democratic spring in the middle East God help Pakistan
pti anxiously waiting for its god father.
@DrWho! The change in the value of dollar from bhuttos regime to Sir Mussharaf's regime took 30 years to increase by 50 and during this govt in just 3 years the value of dollar has increased to 40 rs. Pls do not distort the facts.
hmm...he sounds confident -- looks like he's got a deal with Kayani-Pasha
Who cares..he is a spent force...his actions has destroyed Pakistan..the coward...
@Hu Jintao: Do you know those corrupt were voted in by your own nation. The judicial movement against Musharraf by Aitazaz Ahsan and party was foreign financed to destabilize the country. Where are the lawyers now when the whole country is collapsing. They are not to be seen for last two years waiting again for foreign aid perhaps.
@Ammar: To correct you, he is talking about the current situation. The current situation is different from the one in 1999 when, through accident, Musharraf became the Chief Executive thanks to Allah. While at that time a corrupt regime could be rightly removed, the scenario now is different.
Musharraf has no future in Pakistani political life. He had his 9 years of illegal rule which is more than enough. Musharraf is yesterday's dictator and he should just retire and be thankful he's not in jail because in most countries, a guy who takes over the nation with the army is guilty of treason. It's time to give Imran Khan a chance.
Please don't forget that Musharraf broke the law and came to power through the power of gun. There should not be any space for people like him in Pakistani politics. People praising his economic "achievements" forget that a lot of those "achievements" were a result of money pouring in in the aftermath of 9/11. He shamefully boasted after his allies slaughtered people on the streets of Karachi at the time of CJ's visit.
Ultimate solution - Mush President and Imran PM. That will really begin a new Pakistan!!
We invite Pervez Musharaf to PTI if he announces his assests........
Pakistani's can judge both Imran & Musharaf on one count - Just check where their children reside that's who they report to, faithful to etc
@ahmed faraz: I wrote the same sometime ago and when i met him in Atlanta.I agree with this 110 %
This is good news from Musharraf. I think for far too long pakistan has had a two party system. The people need to have greater choice in a true democracy. As long as Musharraf clears his name for the cases filed against him then we should view his arrival back to the country as a positive thing in pakistani politics. For any strong democracy a free media is one of the most important pillars ... Musharaf should be given credit for this! The imrany tsunami has largely been contributed by a free media and a strong judiciary.
Can we afford him anymore??? No no not at all. The seeds he bowed of unconditional American interferance have now grwon to huge trees and we are suffering from it more and more everyday. What else he has to do with this country. Infact most of my friends here are looking on micro level...the country was making progress but wot about his foreign policies???? Anyone concrned with that????
He has made similar promises in the past and has never honored them - this will be no different. As I recall there are at least two outstanding arrest warrants against Musharraf - one for the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti and one in association for the assassination of Bhutto - and they have already seized some of his assets. The only way he's going to return to Pakistan is if the military takes over and asks him to be a front man.
I dont know if its only me who thinks that things get really blurry for us Pakistanis once they are out of news for a week. Musharraf has be scolded for the last 4 years for bringing Pakistan to the current state. It all started in his regime. And now we have people who are welcoming him!!!
@Sohail: Bravo. It's the best comment I have ever read online. You have wonderfully depicted the summary of events during the last 10 years in Pakistan. During Musharraf's time; dollar was stable; the economy was booming; the rate of poverty fell from 34 percent during 1999 to 17 percent in 2007; FDI figures were sky-rocketing; funding for higher education was tripled in a short time; thousands of students were sent overseas for PhDs; peace process with India was moving ahead; a number of mega projects were underway throughout the country, NADRA, NAB and local bodies system were put in place, free media, scores of channels, unprecedented growth in telecommunications and access to the internet services and much more.
Musharraf all the way !! Though I would love to see both APML and PTI work together under the leadership of mush. Imran needs sometime to take full control he acts and talks immature at times where mush can really shape him once they work together. You cannot say NO to mush.... The work listens to him for god sake don't be stupid people he is a gem. Everyone makes mistakes. The imp fact is both mush and Imran are not CORRUPT. God bless Pakistan
If the PPP government tries and hangs him & his close buddies (BB murder case, Nawab Akber Bugti Murder case, Lal masjid operation, Renditions, Disappeared Persons, Abrogating the constitution, treachery, Allowing Extra judicial murders via drone strikes, Allowing MQM A kill off MQM H to join government, NRO, Gving away bases to Americans etc etc ) I may even go as far as to vote for them in the Next elections, and forgive everything they did the last 4 years...
Please get Dr. Salman Shah back as well, the job market died in 2008, even the best of the best grads were unemployed in 2009 and 2010, Higher Education Commission was under threat for a good part of PPP's tenure. Please get them educated elite back, our economy is our security, and our security is Pakistan. Yes get that team of technocrats back, we don't want a dysfunctional democracy, and wait till it consolidates into mini-nations (sindhistan, balochistan, etc.) we want a strong union thru economic progress and strong diplomacy! FPPP...you know what that f is for,,, and get APML and PTI together in action. PLEASE!
we will await you sir!!!
Welcome back . Please come and save us from PPP & PMLN
Hey Savior. Welcome back.
I am surprised at the accolades for Musharraf. Probably he has hidden, and moved his assets around that it would be hard to track them easily. How does a Pakistani General with his salary have a residence, in Dallas, London and possibly Dubai. Just the up keep of those residences woud require the salaries of a ten generals. Pakistani's should not allow any leader to be in a ruler position or contest the elections who has been the President/ PM for more then eight years. It was Musharraf who made unilateral deals with George Bush by aligning in a War that was not Pakistan's. He unilaterally gave away bases over the objections of his Core Commanders. It was under his rule that not a single power generation plant was setup. Do not forget he was the one blessing the sale of the Pakistan Steel Mills way below the market value, not to mention the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City. Agreed Musharraf usurped power by a coup, and had dreams of being the Pakistani Ataturk but he lacked the courage and valor of nationalism. By coming to power through a coup he committed a crime as per the constitution of Pakistan, for which he needs to face the consequences. Any Politican who lives outside of Pakistan for more then three months in a year should be barred from running for any office or election till they can establish continous permanent residence in Pakistan for three years. Those who support Musharraf are not champions of democracy and progress. We need new faces, leaders and men/women of conviction and character to move Pakistan forward. Someone talked about the Rupess exchange rate during Musharraf and today. Well that has nothing to do with Musharraf but other global factors and Government policies. Musharaf if he is a Patriot and a proud soldier should not have left/fled Pakistan after losing the election. Leaders do not abandon their ship during rough seas and come back to take control when the climate is conducive. How many Indian leaders do you see leaving India and establishing residences in other countries in self exile. ............................
@HanKan - You must be an Indian troll . . . Shame on you and on your Biggotry and your cheap and nasty inhuman comments/blog. Dont Indian trolls have better things to do . . . .than to continue to pit other countries against Pakistan for their own selfish interest. Watch India shiver when Pakistan becomes Israel's good business partner! . . . .then it will be game over for India and its cowardly proxy war!! Also remember Muslims have common roots with Jews and not Hindus! Also remember Pakistan is a friend of America and not India! So take your bigotry and dirty propoganda back to India where it breeds and belongs!! Regards.
@Dr. Who!: How can you compare 30 years decline with 4 yearS declare? "Doctor eh?"
@Ammar:
Your right he do that, but only after an attempt to kill him, the head of the Pak army....I think thats more then enough of reason to take the governmant down.
All fools over here saying he was better than the currest rulers... i wish i could use some strong language for you nincompoops but it will be censored.... who brought this corrupt leadership into power ??? it was your musharraf who brought these corrupt people back through NRO!!!! and you guys are wanting him to come back... you guys deserve it when Pakistan is in shambles... the sad part is... people like us have to suffer because of fools like you...
Are people here crazy? Musharraf practically sold us to the Americans. The free unchecked movement of Nato containers, the handing over of Shamsi airbase, the Lal Masjid debacle, allowing drone attacks on our soil (he set the precedent). Lets not forget 12 th May. And something that no one can forgive is the NRO. During the justice movement he banned tv channels and used violence against protesters.
He stayed 9 odd years in power and anyone who thinks he is indispensable is crazy. He did not even spare the institution that gave him his platform. Was there no person in the army capable of becoming an army chief? He has a lot to answer for.
Musharraf, stay away.
better late than never ....welcome back !
what a brave leader he is , in his regime he used to sit in front of educated youth and answer every answer of them , a great man who unveiled the hidden agendas of molvies and proved them as well. A man whose foreign policy was very strong , gave us HEC and highest growth to higher education and research . crippled India with his strong stance. Above all "EVEN NOT BEING IN CURRENT GOVERNMENT HE DEFENDED PAKISTAN AGAINST EVERY ODD SITUATION COUNTRY FACED FROM SO CALLED INTERNATION COMMUNITY" In last I hope he will not repeat the mistakes like that of resolutions with US upon Afghanistan and will solve issues like LAL Masjid peacefully . WELLCOME
mussharaf is my second choice. but now we can only hear IMRAN KHAN ringing the bells to warn everybody of the coming tsunami. Give a new guy a chance and break the polictics of repeating rulers one by one until they die.
@hamza khan: Musharraf should be arrested on his return. He deserves to be charged for treason and running a dictatorship for 9 years. Look at Ben Ali, Gaddafi and Mubarak? Are they allowed to return and run for office? Why does Musharraf feel he can come back like this when he should just stay in London.
What are the odds of the good general making it out of the airport without being arrested?
Dear Respected Sir, I like you very much. If you become again President you must drive Pakistan with JUSTICE,you must hate AMERICA and ISRAEL, you must produce unity between SHIA and SUNNY, you must produce unity among Provinces, you must produce unity between political Parties, Economically you should join China and Iran for Electricity.Gas for Iran. Oil for Iran and Saudi Arabia. Pakistani don't like every thing from China because it is a slow poison for Pakistani Economy. And you must become Pakistan as a Nuclear Power for destroying enemy of Islam i.e. AMERICA and ISRAEL. Live for Islam. Die for Islam. Live like Ali. Die like Hussain.
It will just be a smart move for Imran Khan and Musharraf to team up!! They are both honest, intelligent, smart and have their own skill sets and expertise that will be very powerful for the nation as a whole. As the saying somewhat says "United we stand, Divided we fall'. Their joining hands together will gaurantee a sure and solid victory in elections!!
@Farz: Are you Kidding man.
@Maryam: You are right Maryam and I am looking here Pakistanis who support that person who just engaged Pakistan in to worst circumstance face from many years -- load shutting, poverty, hunger, foreign loans, American dependency & subjugation in all matters, increased oil prices, high rates of electricity and much more..... Please please please kindly change your approach of mind and prevent yourself to elect corrupt and crooked politicians and say Allah hafiz to them say welcome to honest people to lead parliament and president house to save Pakistan and to make Pakistan strong... Please Please Please think about it... Allah have given many chances Please try to bring change toward prosperity and progress.
Dear fellow pakistani's don't worry mr musharaff has no way of winning in reality he has lost his popularity & a rtd general can never become a leader once the uniform is off!
We have to understand Pakistan is a very difficult country to govern. We are not use to see grey areas in Pakistan and use only black and white thinking. No body is hundred percent bad or good. Musharaff while in power was not able to make independent decisions. He had to carry with him top army brass and politicians with him before making any decisions. He would not have lasted more than few moths If he would have started making independent decisions. he had to compromise with ground realities and who ever comes next will again have to make comprises unless there is a spontaneous public revolution.Under the circumstances Musharraf did better than any body.. He is widely respected worldwide. He is a honest and corageus man. People who accuse him of breaking the constitution are typical example of black and white thinking. If some one is good for pakistan and helping develop the country i don't care even he decleares himself a king. The ultimate is Pakistan's progress and development. .
Wellcome Musharaf.. Only Pervez Musharaf and Imran khan together can save this country. They should join hands. Imran said that he will first impose Local body system in country after he will come in power. Musharaf did this same. Their was backdoor diplomacy carry on between them in last year. They both have a better vision than others. After musharaf and imran, Army can save Pakistan. Our Army is one of the best in the world with most competent ISI. Musharaf is the product of Army. He knows how to save. He brought prosperity in his tenure. Everyperson do some mistakes so we should give him second chance with Imran Khan as well.. Sab se pehle Pakistan!
Will Musharraf launch this campaign while staying in Pakistan?
Or would he prefer the comforts of a Beijing hotel as during the Kargil adventure?
Pervaiz Musharaf did not overthrow the govt.He was in the air on the way back from Sri Lanka. It was the army on the ground who took the action, and the people celebrated by distributing sweets including BB.I clearly remember when BB was interviewed on the western media she categorically stated that He(PM) was her general and that it was right that the corrupt Nawaz Sharif was well rid.
"we have seen 9 brilliant years where our country flourished". Raza. If those were brilliant years, then I must say you have very low standard.
Pakistani public suffers from amnesia.
this is the guy who revealed state secrets to sell his book...
And he built a multi-million dollar house close to IK's house. He is corrupt to the core, not mention the trampling of the constitution.
Musharraf is too late with his change mantra, Imran khan's tsunami has already swept Pakistan !
well come
It will be a great day for Pakistan; I see some semblance with the Dakota landing in Karachi in 1947. Like they say ... When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Let get this country back on track to prosperity as before with the right emphasis on improving the lot of the common man. Pakistan First ! indeed.
geo musheee
come back sir.. we want u in pakistan as early as possible to help us get rid of these plunderes... u r a real leader who has fought for the country both in the battlefield and on international forum. the visit u had to india and the way u encountered indian hostile media is very fresh in our memories. u brought a real democracy to pakistan and the current free and flourishing MEDIA is a gift u gave us. we salute u...
Free media, new channel licences, local governments, leaders like Mustafa Kamal , real democracy, booming economy, 3rd fastest gdp growth, clean leader, centaurus, emaar island, sugar land city, Goodbye to IMF, foreign exchange, stock exchange highest, danda on sugar aata mafia, dollar stable, fuel stable, everything in the right direction...
How could all be right, how could this happen? No no Musharraf should go, let's hear 'go musharraf go' 'go musharraf go'! Why is all right? We need our BB back, we need our shareefs back... oh why this wardi wala president? Let's hear it 'Wardi Utaro'! Let's protest, he should go, we need the musical chair back, let's pressure him... Elections 2012 without Benazir, Sharif? We need them! NRO , Benazir comes, killed, oh my! Let's vote for PPP, let's vote for Zardari, (NRO didn't voted for Zardari, we did) he needs sympathy... Lets kick the 'dictator' out, how the hell he dictated the economy to 3rd highest growth, he should be impeached, let the lawyer show began... 'Go Musharraf Go', let's hear for the democracy, the democracy that helps the politicians, not that which helps the awam...
General Pervez Musharraf, you said that:
“APML President stated that the solutions for Pakistan’s prevailing challenges do not lie in undemocratic initiatives and that military intervention into politics would be fatal for Pakistan and its people.”
You are saying this because you have now formed APML.
You must be aware of this very fact which you have said now but you have overthrown an elected government through military coup when you were Chief of the Army Staff.
@Mushi: kindly dont come back, what you have done with this country is quite enough!!
As soon as Musharraf arrives, his opponents will start packing up Inshallah.
@Fawad: "In Musharraf tenure, the dollar was Rs. 60.50 and now compare it with current Rs.100."
In February 1973 during Z A Bhuttos's tenure, the dollar was Rs. 9.90 (yes NINE rupees and 90 paisa) not Rs 60.50 as during Musharaff's tenure.
Military shouldn't be allowed to enter politics under any cost regardless of whether the situation is dire or not. No doubt he has excellent leadership qualities, however he tends to contradict himself quite frequently.
Without doubt Musharraf is the man we need to steer Pakistan out of complete utter disaster and chaos.
I will be there to welcome you sir. Long live Musharraf!
APML Zindabad!!
@Ahmad Faraz - Falcon, not eagle.
We hope under the leadership of Musarraf Pakistan will get rid of from the menace of terrorism and religious fanatics . The inteligensia wnich is supporting these eiements behind the curtain will also remember the Red star once again .
Musharraf is the best leader Pakistan ever had. His announcement to land in pakistan in Januray has given me some hope for Pakistan,
You alone can, sadly, do nothing. Join Imran Khan. You two are the only two sane politicians who can drive this country out of disaster.
We cannot forget golden era of Musharraf - a true leader. Love you Sir.
I support Musharraf and his nine-year rule. He is a thousand time better that the present ruling clique. However, I fail to understand the logic of his entering into politics. He was a powerful, and of course a popular, president. Suppose, if he again becomes president, will he be enjoying all those powers which he exercised during his rule - no, certainly not. And if he becomes the Prime minister then will he work under the president? - looks very odd. The bvest advice to him is that he should make use of his talent and experience by setting up and heading a Think Tank and devise and suggest ways and means to solve the problems of pakistan and its people. That will be a true service to pakistan.
Dont come back dude.... You have already ruled this country for too long...
As a civilian Musharraf has every right to take part in politics. He should join hand with Imran Khan and fix the bureaucracy and re-establish local governments.
In such a time as Nation is going to be drowned once more in the dark ages. We you as our Leader. Its for sure, Economy and Image of the country had been on the up during your regime. We need you as a Leader and we need you to bring some more leaders like YOU to to protect the Nation from falling down the line or will never recover. We welcome you cordially. Musharraf The Great!!!
@Ammar: The time when he intervened was a different scenerio pak wasn't in trouble those days as much as today
**DEAR EX PRESIDENT PERVEZ MUSHARRAF I DEDICATE THIS VERSE(SHER) IN YOUR HONOR: "Tundi-e- Baad-E-Mukhalif se na ghabra, ae Uqaab" "Yeh to chalti hai tujhe uncha udane ke liye". Translation: “You don’t get frightened of these furious, violent winds, Oh Eagle! These blow only to make you fly higher.”
GEOOOOOO MURSHARRAF. A TRUE LEADER !!!!!!!
plz dont come in pakistan
Welcome sir musharraf ,come back to pakistan and rule ir for another 9 years and mess up democracy.
@First drink, don't think: Bugti was also educated btw, from UK
Mr. Ammar - please read the complete sentence more closely. "the solution for Pakistan’s prevailing challenges do not lie in undemocratic initiatives and that military intervention into politics would be fatal for Pakistan and its people."
Don't arrest him, it will just give him credibilty and media time. Let him contest elections; losing deposit is not going to hurt his bank account.
@Ammar: You are right on target. I was thinking on the same lines. Musharraf speaks with a forked tongue.
@Hashim Khan: Dear Hashim Khan so you want a person in your PTI who broke the constitution of Pakistan and who needs to be trailed under Article 6 of the constitution. But you are doing what your leader Imran Khan is doing. He was the first person who support Musharaf Martial Law so now i can say that it will be only Imran Khan who will welcome Musharaf to join his party. What is wrong with our educated middle class?
@ Hashim...please let me correct you. Imran is not the first one to declare his assets. Musharraf did that in his first address to nation :) Can you tell some one thing? How do you plan on breaking the statu quo with another status quo party? Do you know your leader Mr. Imran Khan has said in an interview that 'he thinks the poor and the middle class people have no place in politics. If they will be given the chance they will definitely fill their own pockets because they don't have money'...isnt that a status quo statement?
Lastly, if you are a true patriot i urge you not to look for 'CHANGE' but look for 'PROGRESS' and so i would like to take this opportunity to invite you to APML :)
Atleast he is educated and also has vision. He should join PTI!
Will he bring Shaukat Aziz with him?
"and that military intervention into politics would be fatal for Pakistan and its people" - correct me if I am wrong, but he did that right?
Welcome Sir Musharaf. We still remember the progress you brought during your era in every field of life. This asset declaration is also very good point of view where only Imran Khan has declare his assets and you will be the second one. It is my earnest desire that you JOIN PTI for changing the status quo political parties. You will be the right person to help our Leader Imran Khan. Thanks sir we are waiting for you to join PTI.
Khoon jo tum mein hai uska rang hum mein bhi...Lahu jo tum bhaogay uskay nishan hum bhi sahengey! Pakistan Zindabad! Pervez Mushraf Zindabad!
musharraf zindabad!!! we will await you sir!!!
