Homicide: One given death, two life terms

FAISALABAD: District and Session Judge Raja Akhlaq Husain has awarded a death sentence to a murderer and life imprisonment to his two accomplices. The court has acquitted two others arrested in the case by giving them benefit of doubt. According to the prosecution, one Asif along with his accomplices Atif, Sajid, Ishaq and Ramzan had killed one Mukhtar Ahmad and injured Ejaz Ahmad over a dispute over a bicycle. In the verdict announced on Friday, Asif was convicted and sentenced to death. The court also imposed a Rs200,000 fine on the convict. Atif and Muhammad Sajid were given life terms and directed to pay Rs200,000 fine.
