Human Trafficking: FIA arrests suspect

LAHORE: A human trafficker, identified as Liaqat Ali, was arrested in Gujranwala on Thursday by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Ali had been on FIA’s Most Wanted list since 2009. In 2010, the agency came very close to arresting him but he escaped during a raid. His name had been placed on the Exit Control List. Gujranwala FIA Deputy Director Gul Snober told The Express Tribune that the suspect had been under surveillance for a long time. There are several FIRs registered against Ali in Rawalpindi and Gujranwala.
