ISLAMABAD: Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) is organising its Fourteenth Sustainable Development Conference (SDC) from December 13 to 15 at Hotel Best Western, Islamabad.

The theme of the SDC 2011 is “Redefining Paradigms of Sustainable Development in South Asia”. This year’s sustainable development conference will focus on the emerging debate on sustainable development policies beyond the MDGs.

This debate also questions the existing development paradigm. Each SDC is designed to be a forum for sharing and exchanging dialogues on sustainable development with academia, practitioners, civil society, legislators and policy makers. Besides Pakistan, speakers are coming in from Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, USA, and the UK.
