Pak-Afghan transit trade: Vehicles carrying supply stopped, checked in Khyber Agency
The vehicles were stopped in the Jamrud area of the Khyber Agency by the officials of the Khasadar force and were allowed to go to Afghanistan after being thoroughly checked.
Source said that security forces were ordered to check the vehicles carrying the transit trade supply.
The Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade agreement is allegedly being misused in the wake of Islamabad suspending Nato supplies through the country’s land route.
Pakistani officials believe that the trade agreement is being used to bypass the suspension of supplies in the aftermath of the November 26 Nato attack, one of the many steps taken by the government in protest.

Yes, Iran is a friendly nation for both India and Afghanistan and if Pakistan remain adament on the supply route issue Iran is ready to give facilities for the supplly of fuel for tne ddvelomental projects being done by Indian companies there . In such condition one can easily understand the fate of U.S.- Pak relation and its impact on the Pak economy in both short and long run .
I don't think this exercise was part of other alike measures which pak took after Salala incident but to take the issue to another level making Afghanistan pay for what it has nothing to do with.
@Adeel759: The Afghani government is not the most honest and reliable. These people in Afghanistan are historically cheating Pakistan of trade and duty since they are pro Indian puppets. Pakistan needs to take care of itself.
@Muhammad Farooq: For Afghan people it should continue absolutely (they are like our brothers/sister), what about the Afghan goverment posturing an enemy position what should be done about that ? This mean better term of engagement and a pledge that Afghanistan land will never be used against Pak . After all they should remember the scrifice of people of Pak for them.
suspension of NATO supply is excellent but supply of fuels and foods to Afghanistan should continue for Afghans only so as to contribute their economy because Afghanistan is subjected to Pakistan economy.
ATT has to be respected by all the govt. in Pakistan since it is an international obligation to provide a route to a land locked country . The confrontation in this regard will be not in the interest of Pakistan instead it will fulfil the aim of terrorists .
there is no isolation or humiliation, at this stage US is very weak, presidential election campaign picking up heat and it's the best time for Pakistan to re-negotiate rules of engagements based on terms and conditions that favour Pakistan.

we the poor peolpe are facing all the problems becuz of afghanistan, this days the supplies to afghan has been stopped and here the food stuffs rates are under controll.... As soon the nato supplies will start to afghan then automatically everything here will be an expensive rates, all the dealers are simanlling things illegally to afghan in nato containers ....
If this report is correct, it shows that Pakistanis are determined to take this dispute to next level where contained and controlled conflict is imminent and isolation and humiliation is awaiting. All sides need to work it out.
