Modern Venture: JU to hold symposium on nanotechnology

KARACHI: The dean of research, Dr Shazia T. Hakim, at the Jinnah University for Women, announced on Monday that the university will hold a day-long symposium on nanotechnology on December 14. She said that the moot is aimed at fostering awareness about this relatively new field of study and experimentation. “It can help spur scientific research among Pakistani students and contribute towards the development of the country,” she said.  The speakers at the symposium include Professor Dr Abdul Qadeer of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) and Professor Dr. Ahmad Shahzad Khan of DeVry University, US.
