Sui Gas Supply: ‘Islamabad delaying project’

Federal government intentionally delaying provision of sui gas facility to Narowal as the area is stronghold of PML-N.

SIALKOT: PML-N MNA Chauhary Ahsan Iqbal said on Thursday that the federal government was allegedly intentionally delaying provision of sui gas facility to Narowal because the area was a stronghold of PML-N. Iqbal said the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) had laid the supply pipeline in the city a year ago. He urged Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani to fulfill his promise and direct officials concerned to provide sui gas to the city. Responding to the complaint, PPP Narowal president Anwarul Haq Chaudhary said the project would be completed till December 31. He said the government was committed to providing the basic amenities of life to everyone without discrimination on the basis of their political loyalties.
