I used to wear a burqa in school: Veena Malik

Pakistan actor Veena Malik said on Sunday that she wore a burqa during her academic years. Speaking to an Australian newspaper regarding the ongoing controversy over her alleged naked photo shoot for FHM India, Malik said that she was a Muslim and knew her limits.

She criticized Pakistani society, saying that women are mistreated in Pakistan and the proof of that was that there were never incidents of acid thrown on men. She added that in Pakistan people also made a fuss over what one wore, whereas she praised India in this regard, saying that women should have the freedom to wear a burqa or jeans.

Speaking to Star News, Malik reiterated that she had not posed nude for FHM India and that she had advised her lawyer to file a case against them.

Talking about her upcoming show with an Indian news agency, she said that she had been unsuccessful in love and hence wanted to find her partner through the show, which would go on air soon.
