In a gruesome incident late Saturday night, 29 graves in an Ahmadi graveyard were desecrated in Dunyapur, district Lodhran, around 100 kilometres away from Multan.
The community’s spokesperson Saleemuddin told The Express Tribune that unidentified people entered the graveyard and broke the plaques (katbe) of a large number of graves, while digging around 29 others. Only two graves that were made of marble were left concrete, he said.
Saleemuddin said local representatives of the community have approached the police and submitted an application for legal action, but no investigation has been undertaken so far. Police officials have asked the community to first rebuild their graves after which the issue would be further investigated, he added.
DPO Lodhran Agha Muhammad Yusuf while talking to The Express Tribune confirmed that the graveyard had been desecrated, adding that the area’s DSP is looking into the matter. The DPO said he would look into the case after investigations are completed.
The graveyard is said to be established in 1976, but Saleemuddin claimed that said it was made 80 years ago.
Religious tension is high in Dunyapur where around 15 families belonging to the Ahmadiyya community reside.
Saleemuddin said that around six months ago, a private school run by a member of the Ahmadiyya community was forcefully closed down by residents. People took to the streets and to shut the school where many Muslim children were being educated free of cost, he said.
The next face of persecution may be the take over business and properties of the community, he feared.
Unfortunately, this is not the first such incident. Around two months ago, another Ahmadi graveyard located in Haveli Majokan district Sargodha was dug up, humiliating and angering community members.
He said the incidents of desecrating graves of the Ahmadiyya community have increased over the last few months. He said that till now, a total of 30 such cases have been recorded in the country.

Is there any muslim residing in Pakistan?
Deobandees are not Muslims according to Brelivis. Ahle Hadees are murtad and wajibul qatl according to Sunnis. shias are called rafizees by their sunni counterparts. and sunnis are called mushrik and and kafir by deobandis and ahle hadees
who is mulsim who is living in pakistan?
Alas
yeh musalman hein jinhen dekh ke shamrain Yahood
it is narrated that the Holy prophet of Islam always stand for funeral processions even of none Muslims processions. but what muslims are doing in these days is a totally diversion from the teachings of the Holy Prophet of islam.
these mullah and muslim olamas are just a herd of ignorant people. they are far away from the Sunnat and teachings of Quraan.
inna lillahe wa inna ilaihe rajoon
This is a despicable act no doubt, but to all those blaming it on the 'mullahs' .. How do you know it was the Mullahs and not some crazy teenagers who did it over petty issues?
There is a lot of bias against the Ahmediya community which must stop, but isn't there a lot of bias against religious people too by the so called 'liberals' and 'free thinkers'?
desecration of the dead bodis shows the level of tolerance in Islamic Republic of Pakistan...Leagelly non-muslims shouldnt be pesecuted in such a henious way..i condemn it and appericiate the reporter for highlighting this issue.
@Shaukat Mehmood: Dear for your kind attention just read below the comments of one of our great Pakistani muslim brother regarding Ahmadis and then think what should be the reaction of a deprived minority in Pakistan. "Although I do not totally agree with this act, I understand the feelings of the people who did this. Ahamdayas should mot be needlessly provoking by claiming to be Muslim. This makes me fired up when I hear their claims.
Is this our tolerant Pakistan which must be saluted every where in Pakistan. Plz stop hippocrasy, come forward and condemn religious extremism and support harmony and brotherhood in Pakistan
@Luqman Qadir: I am not a born Ahmadi but the years I have spent after embracing it, I found that those who are scared to reason with you or debate with you and know that they will hit the wall hard, those who cannot handle the truth, this is what they do, they shoot and kill and they think they have earned jannah, infact they have pitted themselves in the deepest part of hell, by killing an innocent person & then they try to justify in the name of religion.
Zuabir N Sahib, what do you know about Ahmadiyyat? only what mullah has told you? Do you mind asking your mullahs how many debates they had with the Ahmadis? or why the "White Paper" was never published to public by the Govt. of Pakistan? This is not a place to debate but there are 1000 questions that you will not have an answer to, because if you get an answer, you will start to think otherwise and this is what the clergy does not want you to know, bet you on that. Go on youtube and serach for this and you can find comments by your mullahs confirming the above.
Numbers of ahmadis are killed each year, just for being an Ahmadi, in a free country? and you think this is "sawab"? do you mind finding a hadith that allows you to kill a person whom you beg to differ? ... and yet have you seen anyone burning tyres? or blocking roads? or chanting slogans? or doing so called "shutter down" tell me which other sect behave like this? I don't think so.
May be you ought to go back to Jinnah's speech about religion and sects in Pakistan, you do follow Jinnah right or there is a problem there too? You hate because you chose to hate, it's a "sect" thing, sort of like in the genes. Those who set themselves free from this, only they can see clearly thru fractured facade, without bias and without negativity. The state of muslims is all time low and declining, ever wonder why? ever wonder what could be going wrong? and this hate is the reason that you failed to recognise the first muslim ever to get a nobel prize, denied him the state funeral and defaced his grave too, There is a street in honor of his name in switzerland, but your Govt. couldn't even muster an event in his name, sure you will celebrate the new year and the valentines day, which are imported from the west but few will remember Abdus Salam on his death anniversary.
You have no right to judge anyone, muslim or not, Islam does not give you this self-proclaimed liberty, you are responsible for your own deed and your grave, end of story. who is muslim and who is not, leave these affairs to Allah & He knows best.
I bet those who carried out this biddat act of desecrating graves was carried out by those who scream shirk biddat at everybody else.
@Ameer Hamza:
The moment you discriminate the humanity as believers and infidels, you choose to be the on the side of these miscreants. The only difference being the scale of thought and action.
I am not an Ahmadi but part of the defined majority. I am also a firm believer of what goes around comes around. I would hate for mine or my loved one's grave to be desecrated and dug up.
Pakistan is already reaping the fruits of such brutalities. And trust me it will continue to worsen (May Allah bless us all) till we continue to turn a blind eye to such atrocities and do not condemn it at social, local and state level. Afghanistan is already experiencing the brunt of such brutalities committed on the Ahmadiyya jamaat and it's followers many years ago (for those interested Google or Wiki it). Now we hear and see the after effects of it in our country. Let's try to stop it before we fall below Afghanistan (we maybe slightly a notch above now).
Why are you all getting so excited about this. Did anyone see who did this? What if Allah did it himself? Would you still say what you are saying?
shame on u Pakistani Mullahs and Goverment of Pakistan.listen all time is not far away when these nonsence Mullahs will destroy the Pakistan in the name of religion....shame ,shame, shame
@Zubair N
Are you a Muslim? Have you read and understood the Holy Quran with translation? Have you read and understood Hadith of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? Do you follow the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? Ask yourself these questions, read and understand the blessed word of Allah and Hadith of His Profit (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and compare yourself and your actions and your intentions... you will find how much wrong you are and how much full of hatred your heart is... and it's all because of the Mullahs. Read the books of Ahmadiyya Jamaat and you will understand what is right. Don't be ignorant, investigate yourself, don't rely on what others tell you, they lie because they are afraid of the truth and they want to stay in power... look at the mullahs of today, they have no place in politics, they should be preaching and teaching and spreading Islam and not trying to get in power. It's obvious, you need to open your eyes and ears.
@Zuabir N: Who has given you the right to judge any person whether he of she is a Muslim or not. Let me tell you what islamic teachings are. Allah says that I only know what is in the heart of a person and he will be judged on the day of judgment. And he also says to the Holy prophet saw that you only advise these people I have not appointed you darogha. Here you are you have appointed your self a darogha on the religion . I am an Ahmadi and I certainly don't need you tell me that what I can or can't do.
@Shaukat Mehmood: It seems like the whole of Pakistan has turned into the black sheep. That includes the government. It is very well to say that Islam does not allow this kind of mindless thugry and vandalism, how many of you good Muslim come out to protest and say to the aughoritirs That enough is enough.
simply condemable but i m disappointed by the nation
Sameen Atta i dont know in which islam pakistanies believed in may be nauzbillah they r more concerned with islam than hazoor pak (saw) Allah nd its beloved prophrt show us the right way to live in the society .I m sorry to narrate that in pakistan people r islami with out islam. Islam is a religion of peace security nd science.y no one in pakistan have any connection with logic i have to say alot of things but i m very much disappointed by this act it means a few illaterates r commandind the society
For such acts of mentally deranged vengeance which logically prove that its animal who are ashrafulmakhloqat and Satan put such persons to shame,i doubted the classic story of iblees being recalcitrant to providence for arrogant reasons, it seems just the other way round as iblees most truly knew the real fact based story. Pakistan will remain under cosmic curse
@ Zubair N: Don't know what fires you up, is it your insecurity or lack of knowledge of the religion. but from the looks and sounds it seems like nothing will stop the crowd you're talking about until tomma hawks or hell fires start dropping upon those from the skies. Wake-up and smell the real air.live and let others let or atleast respect the dead. Always remember what goes around comes around Killing the unarmed and innocent or disrespecting the dead doesn't make u a better man nor a Muslim. Just a word of advise if u can't be a better Muslim atleast try to be a better human.
If Ahmediyas are treated like this one can only imagine how the few remaining Hindus & Christians are treated
@Zuabir N: wow mr zubair, atleast read full article above and then comment on their beliefs,The news is about humiliating a dead person(no matter from what belief and race) NOT about discussing their beliefs,If you were a good, moderate muslim you would not be fired up just bcs the other person doesnt fits in ur idea of being a muslim.SHAME SHAME,i bet if you were there you be the frst one to humiliate humanity.
Its soo sad . Unfortunate those who did that claim they are Muslims . What makes you a Muslim when you behave such . This act show the difference between a true Muslim and the fake Muslims . Islam, as known by many stands for peace . is this act promoting peace ? Muslim means submission to Peace . are these people Muslims ? Oooh . may Allah Help Pakistani's see what they are missing
This is totaly against the Teaching of Islam.. & very shameful for us.. & where is our media..? i have heard many news in recent times about what hapnd to many of graveyards in karachi but y not this news is been publuishd..?? where is Judiciary now..?
God will take revenge on those ungodly،just after soon!
I totally condemn the incident. The work is against humanity. Islam never teach us about to do such acts. May Allah give guidance to them.
@Zuabir N: First, not all "Ahmadis" are even (or should be) all that controversial from a doctrinal standpoint. Not that I condone the persecution of Qadianis, but are you "provoked" by Lahori Ahmadis--whom even Maudoodi conceded were Muslims, since they are doctrinally Sunni--calling themselves Muslim?
More importantly, why is the problem of either kind of Ahmadi that their beliefs make you uncomfortable?!? A lot of things get one "fired up" in life--nasty people, foolish ideas, corruption, nepotism, undeserved tragedy, undeserved good fortune, ad infinitum--but that doesn't mean one has the right to impose his beliefs and values on others, much less persecute them for being wrong in his opinion.
Either you believe in freedom of religion and rule of law--principles unmistakably enshrined in the Quran--or you don't. Be honest with yourself about the implications of this dangerous and un-Islamic expectation that interpretations you disagree with be censored. It leads to fitna (chaos) and zulm (oppression), which shari`a exists to prevent above all else. This kind of thinking ultimately supports these evil acts by mullahs by justifying their hatred and is destroying Pakistan before our eyes.
@Sonia Chughtai: I MOSTLY DON'T COMMENT BUT IT OBLIGES ME TO JOT DOWN.... wah,,,,really i salute you,,,,shame on us,,,i never expected this comment at all from anyone especially who was looking bit educated one....Mr/Mrs whatever you are,,if it happened to be in the supervision of government or it becomes law in Pakistan so it s okay then,,as it s happening in Saudi Arabia etc.. but you know clearly it s because of persecution,,,why it s not happening with the grave yard of suuni or shia etc,,,why it s against the people who are the innocent ones in the land of Pakistan.... don't pretend you know all ,,,well known scholar Hazrat molvi Noorudeen R.A. once said..KHUDA SE DAR PHIR KER,,,,,but i still say my slogan,,LOVE FOR ALL,HATRED FOR NONE,,,,
These people have another islam they practice not islam of our blessed prophet Muhammad s.a.w .instead of wasting time on accursed actions why dont they spent the time to pursue knowedge which is meritorious ofcourse nt with their ingnrnt mulah.IF NOT FOR IMAM MAHD HAZRAT GULAM AHMAD a.s. the entire world would have been turned into hell_fire.please,ask them a single verse of h/quran or hadith that support thier action? they value newspaper thn h/quran,why b/cos whn thy nspapr thy rd it sloly bt qrn hriedly
@Zuabir N: Zubair, you are not the only one – kuffar-e-macca also used to get fired up when Hazoor (SAW) and his followers were calling themselves Muslims; Kaffar wanted them to call ‘sabi’ instead of Muslim. What a coincidence that in reality you are following kuffar-e-macca and wanted others who follow Holy Prophet (SAW) and his deeds to call themselves as non-Muslim! Can you define who is a Muslim, from Quran and authentic Hadiths only, without adding any ‘your’ explaination?
May ALLAH protect all the ahmadi muslims, and they always stay under the blessings of ALLAH.
@ syed aamir irshad i really dont think anyone needs to declare themselves non muslim or muslims to gain your respect mr irshad as i dont remember reading anywhere in the Holy Quran that ur approval was needed to be called a muslim or non muslim. People like you should bring their conceit down and remember that just by calling yourself muslim does not make you one.
@Zubair You are ignorant about those verses of Holy Quran and those Ahadees which prove Ahmadees are on the right path. Even today Allah guides Who HE wants towards the right path through dreams. A big number of people are converting to Ahmadiyyat, due to their dreams, some of them have never heard a single word about Ahmadiyyat before their dream. So read Quran very carefully, making fun of those who Allah says are sent by Him ,isnt and never was acceptable by Allah the Almighty. Allah has the sole Authority to make FINAL JUDGEMENT on the beliefs of All.
@ sonia chughtai Miss chugthat i think people like u should be ashamed of yourselves if this is the only thing u can say in reply to such a barbaric and inhumane act. Before you gave such a lame explanation to such a big incident please tell me did your parents even teach you the meanin of the term humanity and the differenge between right and wrong. please read the article AGAIN. It does NOT say thet the graves were FLATTENED to make grave space but it says THEY were desecrated. It was an act carried out by extremists . Defending wrong and providing false explanations has brought OUR country to this stage where we are not even acting like humans and we call our selves the followers of the Holy Prophet SAW. shame on u and people who think like you . You should put yourself in the shoes of those people with whom all this is happening then you will NEVER be able to write such a comment again
@ Zuabir Why do you get angry after hearing ahmadis claims?? Have you yourself read their books, listen to their khutbass or like other people you just listen to anti-ahmadi sites? You can never understand ahmadiyat unless you meet ahmadis, read their books, watch mta. The person is claiming to be a Mahdi/ Massih moud whom all others are stilll waiting. DON"T you think you should listen to this person. If you take your religion seriously then you should now read everything. inshort. Ahmadis believe in one Allah and Mohammad Saw as the prophet of Allah and also believe in Massih moud. Islam is our religion and Ahmadiiyat is our jaamat.
It is interesting to read some of the comments and suggestions directed towards me.
@Shaukat Mehmood: Yes dear we tell Canadians and non-Muslims that these are not Islamic teachings and is a corruption of the religion. We are educating them as well as Muslims to learn the real Islam which is in Quran and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet(saw). It’s a double struggle. Our very own fellow beings are making it harder every day.
For the rest who think that blaming all Pakistanis is wrong, well I'm sorry but you are in minority. The minority of people who speak against such cruelties cannot speak on behalf of the majority unless you clearly distance yourself. So if you follow my suggestion and change the name of the religion of these people which is clearly not Islam that may be a win-win situation for all of us. Or here is another idea, change the name Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Mullah Republic of Pakistan, after all that's what the constitution of Pakistan is doing what Mullahs do i.e. issuing certificate of being Muslim or Kaffir.
@Zubair I get it! You must be one those peaceful, tolerant, kind and angel like muslims that we keep reading about. Like we keep reading about UFOs. Right?
I really feel sorry for the country where evern deads are not secure.
@Zuabir N: ever heard of the hadeeth when a sahabi killed a man during a war...the killed man said i convert to islam now...but sahabi went on & killed thinking that man's plea to be more than last resort lie... but when Hazoor came to know about it he lamented and admonished by saying" how could you say he was a liar...did u see his heart...? did you..did you...? sahabi said that on seeing the hazoors anger, the sahabi was so ashamed he wished he had not committed it....
now tell me have u seen hearts of ahmadis...how much iman they have in Allah, Muhammad and Islam....can u do that....???????
@Zuabir N:
"Although I do not totally agree with this act, I understand the feelings of the people who did this. Ahamdayas should mot be needlessly provoking by claiming to be Muslim. This makes me fired up when I hear their claims."
Zubair you partially agree with the act? This is the impression one gets from your first sentence. Secondly, you get 'fired up' because Ahmadis claim they are Muslims.
Please remember that our Prophet (saw) said that all kalima reciters are Muslims. In the heat of the battle, one kafir recited the kalima, but was still killed by a sahabi, the act was viewed with great anger by the Prophet (saw). He (saw) said to the sahabi that did you incised the heart of the kafir to see whether he was telling the truth or not? Getting 'fired up' does not solve problems, but creates new problems.
Ever seen an Ahmadi in news committing a crime? Ever seen an Ahmadi terrorist killing innocents? Ever seen an Ahmadi embezzling government money? Ever seen Ahmadi torturing and rapping? Ever? ... Every time you see them in news is when their mosques are being demolished, they are being killed for calling themselves muslims, the Quran in their possession is being torn apart, they are flogged for following islam and now this.
How long would this bigoted ostriches will stick their heads in sand, one day inshAllah our message of peace will prevail.
@Zuabir N: Although I do not totally agree with this act, I understand the feelings of the people who did this. Ahamdayas should mot be needlessly provoking by claiming to be Muslim. This makes me fired up when I hear their claims.
I am Ahmadi. I am a Muslim. I am a true believer. If you or anyone thinks that this justifies the violation of our lives and our dead, then that tells me how much you are still living in darkness. If you haven't been blessed by the light of love for all, then you can't be a true believer. Look within to see how fruitless such life is.
for me it was unbelievable as we live in 21st century with higher literacy rates and so on. but on the other hand, however, it wasn’t a shock for me either, as the spokesman of the Ahmadiyya community stated that it wasn’t a first incident of its kind in Pakistan, the Land of the Pure “Only” the Ahmadiyya community has always been a victim of such brutality and inhuman acts by the religious extremists. may God save our country from such heartless and cruel bigots who won’t let the dead rest in grave. here i must salute Express Tribune for reporting the sad incident. Tribune has always been a voice for the oppress. Bravo. i wish that the electronic media, which rarely speaks for the minorities, could also report this most saddening news on their prestigious news channels, but this can only happen if they spare a few moments from airing least useful news items to fill the time.
@Zuabir N: You mean you agree to it 'partly'?! If you have a problem with our community, brother, please, use non-violent means to show your disagreement like a civilized human being.
What mullahs and people like you who follow them without thinking, in Pakistan and elsewhere are doing to my Ahmadi brothers and sisters is totally uncalled for.
Can you please, give me and others references from the Qur'an and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (pbuh), where such acts were perpetrated and tolerated? If you have differences of opinion regarding our beliefs then, bring them out in the open and have a debate with us - not give out 'fatwas' of persecuting us...., even in death!
@Umer: I love your response. Any THINKING Pakistani (I don't think your Mullahs are of that breed, unfortunately), would at once get the message. God bless you.
@Sonia Chughtai: Graveyard is 80 years old not all graves>how you will feel if someone will dig your father/mother or any loved one's grave?
Disgraceful act by disgraceful people supported by disgraceful...........
Very sad incident. All humans reject this behavior. Pakistan's constitution need to be amended. At least ahmadies are human. In us even people bury their pets with love and care and no body even touches any grave. Total lack of respect for human values has become the hall mark of Pakistani societies. Still they consider themselves followers of the greatest Prophet of Islam, Rehmatal lil alameen. While he was sent to establish humanity and human values and he did. Today's Islam in Pakistan is branded with mullah. We call it mullaiyyat not Islam. 4 th successor of ahmadiyyat Mirza Tahir Ahmad once said that today Pakistan is in danger from mullah. How much correct he was. But irony is that I don't see any light at the end of tunnel. It is all dark. I don't see any politician or brave person saying that it is wrong. It is not Islam, rather it is not any religion. Even atheists dare not to do this. Allah hi hafiz
@T R Khan: They are probably Mossad agents sent by Israel or may be Special Ops team from NATO
@Malik: You need to learn about real Islam. I am not sure where you are learning about Islam, go to any nukkad in Pakistan and you will be able to learn the real Islam. @Masood Nasir: If this is not Islam - can you tell me where these people are learning such enlightened behavior?
I often wonder what the point is of lamenting these jahil logh on the website of a newspaper that will never be read by the idiots who commit these crimes.
Please someone bring them out of the dark ages.
Zubair N
You do not "totally" agree with the digging of graves. And you are "fired up" when listening to Ahmadis.
Lets hope your own grave survives the digging from fellow "Muslims" of another "fired up" sect who have branded you a Kafir.
for me it was unbelievable as we live in 21st century with higher literacy rates and so on. but on the other hand, however, it wasn't a shock for me either, as the spokesman of the Ahmadiyya community stated that it wasn't a first incident of its kind in Pakistan, the Land of the Pure "Only" the Ahmadiyya community has always been a victim of such brutality and inhuman acts by the religious extremists. may God save our country from such heartless and cruel bigots who won't let the dead rest in grave. here i must salute Express Tribune for reporting the sad incident. It's very offending. So sorry to say v r cutting the roots of Islam by our own hands by doing such religious violence.Islam is the religion of PEACE & LOVE & it ensures PEACE & SECURITY for every human who lives on this earth or he is dead -no matter He is Muslim or Non-Muslim- but such criminal acts by a few misguided 'Muslims' encourgae the world to say that Islam is the religion of extremism & violence. These uneducated, misguided & 'so-called' Mujahdeen-Islam are a 'STIGMA' on the face of Islam. If em not called 'Kafir' ,I dare to say that 'Muddaris' (Not all,but majority of them who are opened in streets like frogs in rainy season) are the major cause of this widespread intolerence & extremism in Pakistan. We will 'have to' to hold a system of check & balance upon them otherwise they will push us to depth of downfall & then we will be unable to stand.I may differ with Ahmedes in their beliefs but can't support any0ne to go,hunt & kill Ahmedes.
Some people r doing it because state organs r with them or ... All pakisatani state organs have decayed and are paralysed like PIA and Pakistan Railways.Government machinery is sleeping. They wake up when some bad thing has happened.
Absolutely Right. We need to address ands eliminate the root causes. @Salman:
What a shame. Do not worry brave Ahmadiyya followers of Pakistan. I see a day when the prime minister of Pakistan, like Kevin Rud of Australia, would have to apologize and have to say sorry to the state backed discrimination and hate against Ahmadis.
We have become religious animals. Madness... Complete Madness. I shudder in fear thinking about where religious fanaticism has taken us. This is Zia-ul-Haq ka Pakistan. Need to knock some sense into our mind..
Although I do not totally agree with this act, I understand the feelings of the people who did this. Ahamdayas should mot be needlessly provoking by claiming to be Muslim. This makes me fired up when I hear their claims.
@Masood Nasir: Dear Brother. Where ever you live you do,nt have any right to criticised the people of pakistan. you sais because of these incident peoples of other religions are asking you to abandon islam. Brother you should know how to turn the tables over. response on this incident should be, ,,We Condemned this incident and peoples behind this should face the trail.,, and now response to non muslims should be. Our religion islam does not permit that but there are some black sheeps in community those wants to create problem in community,, there are many incidents are taking place in world NOT BY MUSLIMS why those are not being highlighted. Ask them a counter question that when a muslim brakes the law media highlight the religion but when a christen brakes the law media only highlights his Name. Why media has this double standerd?
I hope you would adopt my way of reply and you will remove your comments. At last we are all pakistani,
Ever since creation in 47, Pakistan has never been stable. is there some thing fishy about the whole idea of creation? May be that illiterate crowd of Muslims got mislead by some of those so called heroes of this movement. I think we need to think about why Mahatma Gandhi was so keen to keep it all together.
Islam does not allow to humiliate Non-Muslims or desecrate their graves, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in his life never did that to any Non-Muslim, so which Islam they follow?
@Sonia Chughtai:
Was that an attempt to justify the desecration's?!
Bigoted criminals, or state or organization or anyone else, do not have the moral right to level any community's graves without permission in the middle of the night. Period.
Please don't pass off Wahabi beliefs of destroying graves or historical burial sites as an Islamic value that's shared and justified through a flimsy excuse of lack land, when real estate is boombing. It is not shared nor justified nor considered Islamic.
How do you think the religious intolerance comes about in the first place? Most Mullahs have a hand in inflaming the intolerance with their ignorance and bigotry, to the point of justifying murder (Qatl-i-Wajib), and indeed were themselves part of the religious special interest group that institutionalized prejudice against the Qadiyanis forever by having the political state interfere on these minority citizens' rights to target and discriminate them BY LAW.
Okay guys from all I have read above it came to me that we are all have consensus on the people who acted so shamefully are not Muslims and I am quite sure that none of them are reading these articles. So the Muslim of Pakistan are off the hook because we all are saying that no muslim can do it if he does than he is not muslim then what he is? Extremist I can easily point out some Ahmadi Extremist here. So they are brother of those. and the one who say that we are truth!! yeah yeah keep saying that everyone else also saying so. Dont fight hate with hate you are just fuelling that and the people of North America Sir people of Pakistan digging old graves not making mass graves by killing innocent people. See what you have done in northern Pakistan and Afghanistan. That so called 9/11 attack their was not even a single Pakistani or Afghani involved. If you want to change religion than change to Christianity who teaches non violence and killed Millions of people in 20th century and had a good start in 21st keep it up Hippo-crates. Not to mention the rest of 2000 years!!!!
Dear all,
I have one question for all of you who are condemning this horrific act and have all the sympathies with the minorities. Do the parliament have the right to judge someone's faith and throw him/her outside the fold of Islam? What if the parliament declare any other sect as non-muslims today? Will that be acceptable? Furthermore, if a group of people which is known to be the parliament has the authority to decide about other people's religion then why the people cry in Pakistan when the parliament of western countries ban the construction of minarites? I think this is the core issue and needs to be addressed. I do respect everyone who are pro-humanity. These problems would never be solved unless we rectify it from its roots. Religion is personal and should remain personal.
I am surprised at just how un-surprised I am of this occurrence. The way people influenced by Khatme-Nabuwwat behave to those living Ahmadis in Pakistan..... this is not surprising, not surprising at all.
they will be the worst of creation under the heavens...
All we can do is pray for those in this low state of being.
@Amazedand: Do you have any proof for your statement? Or are you just trying to hide the actions of your "Muslim" brothers?
@T R Khan: "The desecraters cannot be Muslims? They cannot be the followers of the Rahmat lil Alameen (saw). They must have been heretics from across the border?"
The way we act as per your thought process we are all from across border. Open your eyes please.
This just sick and nothing but sick. when will Pakistan learn to behave like civilized societies?
Why are pakistani's amazed at this act?? Have Pakistani history books not enlightned you about the history of Aurangzeb, Sikandar Buthshikan(of Kashmir), Khilji's destruction of Nalanda University in 1100's, Ghauri, Ghaznavi, Babur's destruction of temples, Akbar's (so called moderate) act of trying to extinguish flame at Jwalamukhi temple in Himanchal ?.... Why are muslims so obsessed with religion which is strictly personal matter for spiritual upliftment and not a social matter...Every human has a direct commection to God..Mullah or Pandit if they exist should only be for ritualistic expression not for intervention in personal life...
Completely senseless and Extreme Brutally Against our fellow Ahmedi's And Media Channels Are least Bothered to report this Brutallity and Criminal Involvement of the Law Enforcement Agencies to Address and Investigate the Issue
If these graves were 80 years old then they were very very old. in Islam it is asked to level all the old graves(like almost a century old ones) to accommodate new graves. its called 'recycling of the land'. Pakistan is a small country with HUGE population. if graveyards are not recycled then some day, most of the pak land will become a graveyard. where will the living live then?
for a change, think out of the hole. Dont make 'mullah' a taboo word. anything wrong goes around, muLlAh is to be blamed. cut it folks! indeed Muslims, specially Pakistani Muslims have become intolerant but mUlLah are NOT to be blamed but continuous 'you know what' by foreign forces.
Islam also has given rights for non-muslims. Hence, graves of these people shouldnt be destroyed. Instead its the duty of every rightful muslim to show these people the right path and save them from hell fire.
Are we even Muslims? are just animals pretending to be Muslims?
Can we honestly say that bigotry or extremism is restricted only to a 'few Pakistanis' or a 'few Muslims'.
Since the post Taseer and Bhatti assassination polarized reactions, it should be clear even to the most deluded denialist, that encouraged religious bigoted and extremist views has created an environment of hate and made it possible for criminals of violent aggression to be widespread.
How can these pro-extremist hypocrites claim to be outraged when Muslim graves are desecrated in France or Israel by bigoted vandals, when they themselves contribute to the same thing against minorities, both living and dead, in Pakistan.
@T R Khan: Yeah , i totally agree with you, we Indians dont have anything better to do, we suffer the harsh climate and the security forces of both the countries at the border, cross into Pakistan , travel all the way to Multan and just desecrate some graves. Man are we so low ?
Aslamo-e-Aliakum,
It is indeed a very sad incident – Very sad indeed, just the words can say! May Good God save Ahmadis from these Mollahs and may these prevent their abuse against such a true religion, which teaches, peace, brotherhood and love for all.
Unfortunately, the problems for Ahmadiyya Community have really increased. None Ahmadiyya community members are safe in the country, for over the years, these Mullahs have killed thousands of Ahmadiyya community members including my Father, My Uncle and my 4 cousins.
Here, when we go to our mosque for prayers, we always pray for our Ahmadiyya Community members in Pakistan and in all those countries where they are killed, abused, and prosecuted for their religious beliefs.
Its really sad, Our supreme leaders and every member of our community prays for Pakistan, for its stability, for economical growth, we will keep preaching and practising our religion no matter how many problems you create for us, we will face everything right on our cheeks!
May Allah help every Ahmadi and may their families be safe!
Love for All - Hatred for None!!
Luqman
is this the way to take the revenge?
Maybe they were afraid of .... ZOMBIES!!!
As a Muslim I feel that this is going too far. You cannot do this to any Kafir's body, let alone doing this to someone's grave. As a Sunni Muslim living in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, I condemn this act. And I hope that alims will also condemn this act, not on the basis of religion but on the basis of humanity.
This is a RAW/CIA/MOSSAD doing. How can a Muslim do such an act to a fellow Muslim's grave! But then, Ahmediya community is not really Muslim and don't have any rights in Pakistan, including resting in peace after death!
My heart goes out to the people affected and their families. Apologies for the sarcasm :(
The brutal laws like blasphemy law and Ordinance XX are gradually turning the whole nation in a bunch of barbarians. However now that things have gone so much worst best is to keep these laws and once the Ahmadis and Christians are not in enough numbers then Sunnis and Shias will get on each others throats and then Deobandis and Brelvis too. Problem sorts itself out. End of story. Time to write the history; a nation that destroyed itself over 'blasphemy'.
Why are we heading towards our own religious forbearance disaster when we don't have to gain anything accept a pinch in heart and mind of the other. Please respect the others so that you may be respected and Ahmadiyyas is a dove community, harmless, peaceful and law-abiding, better leave them alone let Almighty Allah decide about them and about yourselves. May God guide us all.
What a pathetic thing to do. This recently happened in Karachi too at a non ahmadi grave yard and this time on the Ahmaddiya community. Humanity is disappearing in the fog of instability this nation is going through. This is not the first time anything bad has happened in general and in specific to the Ahamdis. So sad to see this happening to such a peaceful community who's moto is to love all and hate no one. God help us all. Ameen.
If Pakistan wants to be saved from extremism and self destruction, there is only one way to do so.
Let religious freedom reign free just as the Qur'an prescribes "There shall be no compulsion in religion." (2:256).
Not money, not politics, not lobbying, not the police - nothing can save Pakistan unless they adhere to this fundamental Qur'anic principle of freedom of religion.
Otherwise, Pakistan slits only its own throat.
Dead watch out, they are coming for you. Gets better and better every day. Now even the dead will have to be careful in case they offend anybody. Ordinance XX posthumously applied.
A very shameful incident for all Pakistanis and especially so_called mullah who are destroying the whole nation on the name of Islam. As far as Islam is concerned, it categorically rejects and condemns such acts.It is unfortunate that Islam, the religion of peace, hope, harmony, goodwill and brotherhood had been badly tarnished by the perpetrators and so called mullah.I most strongly condemn all such conducts and incidents like Dunyapur and many others happening in this Islamic country. Praying for this country............!
The desecraters cannot be Muslims? They cannot be the followers of the Rahmat lil Alameen (saw). They must have been heretics from across the border?
we forget who we are and what religion we belong always true to ruined our religion ac to Constitution they came in minority so should respect being a religious minority to destroy there graves and educational building it doesn't mean you done a fabulous job before any religion we are human being and as a human being our right to live as other people enjoy there cultural and religious activities
@Masood Nasir: Follow Canadians advise.
Hatred along with extremism fueled by Ignorance!!
Pakistan is already surrounded by tons of problems.. and now this religious extremism... Koi haal nahi hai mulk ka.. afsos..
So now muslims want to convert dead people to islam?
Mullahs cant even tolerate dead people
I know of no Islam which teaches me to vandalize the graves of any religion. i don't know which Islam these people are following. these people are disgrace to Islam let country alone.
Pathetic nation we have become. So will our ghairatmand lawyers, liberal people and human right activists come out on road to protest like they did against NATO raid ? Why cant we tolerate other people and let them live in peace ? We dont raise our voice against forced marriages, honor killings, violence against women but our ghairat is used for action against Veena Malik etc.
Shame Shame Shame! Pakistan and Pakistanis have become a disgrace to Islam. I live in Canada and non-Muslims quote these incidents from Pakistan and ask us to abandon Islam and embrace some other religion. Shame on the people of Pakistan, its leaders and government for allowing such incidents to continue for the last 40 years. This is not Islam. These are not the teachings of Holy Quran and Islam. Those who follow these practices should change the name of their religion to something else.
Bad religious mania.
