Judge extends Rao Shakeel's remand

Court extended his judicial remand, directing jail authorities to produce him again before the court by December 16.

LAHORE: An accountability court on Friday extended the 14-day judicial remand of former Hajj Director Rao Shakeel Ahmad in a case of accumulating assets beyond his legal sources of income.

On Friday, jail authorities, produced Shakeel before the court.

The court has extended his judicial remand, directing jail authorities to produce him again before the court by December 16.

As per case details, Shakeel, it was discovered that he owned a textile mill along with large property at Ferozpur Road.  NAB also found Rs5 million in an account belonging to Shakeel's nine years old daughter.

As per NAB's initial investigation report Shakeel allegedly made all these assets beyond his known legal source of income.
