Unspecified Reason: Multan airspace shut for flights

The airspace of the southern Punjab district of Multan was shut on Friday for all flights, Geo News reported. Sources said that no flight was allowed in the airspace over Multan for two hours. When approached, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) refused to divulge anything. According to the television, two flights were not allowed in the airspace of Multan and directed to change their direction while another flight coming from Lahore was sent back. Another flight from Hyderabad landed at Sukkur.
