Pindi overcome Faisalabad
Rawalpindi beat Faisalabad by 92 runs after Rashid Latif picked up a five-wicket haul to dismiss them for 181.
Needing 273 to win over Pindi were dismissed for 198 at stumps, Faisalabad’s Asif Ali (50) and Asif Hussain (34) offered little resistance but Latif and Mohammad Ramiz (three for 38) ensured an easy win in the end.
Wapda inflict 10-wicket defeat on SBP
It took Wapda just one ball to seal a ten-wicket win over SBP after Zulfiqar Babar grabbed four wickets for just five runs to set up the result.
SBP resumed the day on five for no loss but ended as the second best side after being dismissed for 160 courtesy Babar’s heroics.
Banks hang in a balance
Nasir Jamshed’s 70 off 93 deliveries ensured the match between NBP and HBL stayed in the balance.
HBL were all out for 305 in their first-innings with Wahab Riaz and Raza Husain taking four wickets each to take a 72-run first-innings lead. Jamshed’s innings, however, restored parity.
Meanwhile, Islamabad were set a target of 309 to beat Sialkot after the tourists were dismissed for 194 in their second-innings.
Islamabad reached 180 for two at stumps at Diamond Ground and a final-day push will see them race past the finish line.
ZTBL recovered from a first-innings deficit of 212 runs against PIA after scoring 116 for three in the second-innings.
PIA were dismissed for 390 with Kamran Sajid top-scoring (136) and Faisal Iqbal chipping in with 125.
