Shutter-down strike in Balochistan

Strike being observed to protest the killing of three labourers in the province.

QUETTA: A shutter-down strike is underway in the Harnai district of Balochistan to protest the killing of three labourers in the province. 

The strike is being observed on the call of Pashtoonkhwa Mili Awami Party.

The labourers were abducted from the Shahrag district a few days back and their bodies were recovered after that.

Traffic is halted due to a wheel-jam strike on the Quetta-Harnai Highway.

Transports call strike on Karachi-Quetta highway

A transporters strike on the Karachi-Quetta Highway to protest the growing rate of abductions and robberies in the area has entered its fourth day today.

Due to the strike, buses and car services are at a standstill on the highway.

The strike was initiated by the All Quetta Coaches Union.
