BAHAWALPUR: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi claimed on Thursday that he left around Rs100 billion in the Punjab treasury when he left the ministry and said that the province was undergoing a monetary deficit now.

Addressing a news conference at the residence of District Nazim Bahalwapur Chaudhry Tariq Bashir Cheema’s house, Elahi said that the deficit was proof of the fact that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) policies were based on "personal enjoyments."

Elahi alleged that the PML-N administration did not have any interest in public welfare and were befooling the masses.

Elahi said that the success of the PML-Q candidate Chaudhry Ehsanul Haq in the PP-275 by-elections was an eye opener for all parties and particularly the PML-N.

He said that the poll had exposed the foul policies and poor performance of the PML-led Punjab government which “used all its energy and resources to grab the seat.”

Elahi appreciated the people of Yazman for not voting for the PML-N.

The PML-Q leader said that the government had taken “appreciable and timely” steps over North Atlantic Treaty Organisation’s (Nato) attack on Pakistani check post.

Answering a question about a separate province for Bahawalpur, Elahi said that he would support the public sentiments about it.

Elahi said that his party had not yet finalised the policy for the upcoming elections and whether they [PML-Q] will contest the polls with an alliance with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) or independently.

What happened to the News about Nawaz filing petition aginst the whole government? Probably it lost its luster & charm from the moment it was posted.

"WAIT FOR YOUR TURN" is the name of the game! But whose turn? Here PMLq is shining its shoes, Imran Khan is soothing his throat for more huge rallies, Altaf is back in the government with a promise. Nato is leaving, India is in Business with Pakistan, Tablighis have eft Raiwind until next year. All PMLn is left with is "Unpopular Themes" or may be it "Dies" as soon as he touches them. Now even Taliban have stopped bombing women & children(God Forbid), there goes one more topic to talk about.
