Robbers on a Rampage: 11 motorcycles, 2 cars, cash, jewellery stolen in a day

Armed bandits broke into house of US citizen and stole 32 tolas of gold jewellery, 10,000 US dollars at gunpoint.

A total of 11 motorcycles, 2 cars, cash and jewellery worth more than Rs10 million was reported stolen in the past 24 hours.


According to police officials, unidentified armed bandits broke into the house of US citizen Nazeer Ahmad in Chak No248-RB and stole 32 tolas of gold jewellery worth Rs3.8 million, 10,000 US dollars and other valuable items after locking the residents of the house in a room at gunpoint.

In another incident, a band of robbers stole 52 tolas of gold ornaments worth Rs3 million, prize bonds and other items from the house of a local trader Ghazanfar Ali in Sinnor Colony, Samanabad while Riaz was deprived of cash, prize bonds and jewellery worth Rs1.9 million when three robbers broke into his house.

Meanwhile, armed men snatched cash and a cell phone from a truck driver in Kalampur, while another robber stole a passenger wagon after throwing the driver out of the moving vehicle near Sargodha Road.

Police have registered separate cases.
