The judiciary plays a vital role in running the affairs of any state. This was said by Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman at the conclusion of an orientation course on “Effective financial management and control over process serving agency” at the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA), according to a press release issued by the FJA on Sunday. The participants included 25 senior civil judges including five female judges from all over Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

“[The judiciary] is responsible for interpreting the constitution or laws, guaranteeing rule of law and administering justice. All these factors are indispensable for maintaining balance in a social system, otherwise circumstances may pave the way to revolutions,” Justice Rehman remarked.

Earlier, FJA Director-General Parvaiz Ali Chawala presented an overview of the course, and Swabi Senior Civil Judge Faryal Zia Mufti lauded the course content and cooperation of the faculty and administration.
