Condemn and condole: Turkey promises to ask NATO for inquiry
Khar thanked Davutoglu for Turkey’s expression of solidarity and condemned the attack by terming it “unprovoked and totally unacceptable”. She also said that Nato’s action shows a complete disregard for international law and human life.
Davutoglu assured the Pakistani foreign minister that as a member of Nato, Turkey would ask for an impartial inquiry into the attacks. He added that loss of Pakistani soldiers was "as painful as losing Turkish soldiers".
An early Saturday morning attack by North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (Nato) helicopters killed at least 24 security personnel and injured 12 soldiers on a Pakistani check post in Salala, which is located in the Tehsil Bayzai area of Mohmand Agency on the Pak-Afghan border.
The United States has been told by Pakistan's military leadership to evacuate a logistically key airbase it operates in Balochistan – Shamsie Airbase – within 15 days. In addition, Pakistan’s fury was driven home with an official statement that it will shut down Nato supply routes operating through its territory – something that has happened for the first time, though supply routes have previously been temporarily blocked unofficially following similar attacks.

@Maulana capitalist: LOL !! Please don't make me laugh !!! Dare, i guess as to your "inside out" knowledge of our industry !!! But its fairly obvious, its very limited !! Lastly i am too old to be considering working on new CV, as i am already semi retired and just basically attend meetings and approve & authorise transactions on various holdings !! oh yeah same excuse of "but we did not profit from the bailout". Listen I know this industry inside out, the banks got direct bailouts and the hedgefunds got indirectly bailed out! The government needs to have much deeper scrutiny of these hedge funds because they are the main reason why the world economy has got to the point of no return. You should start working on your CV again!

@hedgefunder....you should be the last person talking about "protecting" tax payer funds after the US and UK governments bailed out all the banks and hedge funds by diverting money from poor people and the homeless. All that money ended in big bonuses that are used to buy big fancy apartments and wines. That is why there is the occupy wall street movement so that the 99% of the people can be protected.

@Enlightened: I personally think, their issue with Greece and Germany are more of stumbling block, as even France has lately taken Israel to task regarding various issues and their reluctance to act regarding two state policy.

They can say whatever to satisfy local political forces but their actions speak where they headed - rhetoric doesn't always show reality. Reality is Turkey has been taking strong stand against Israel lately. I am quite sure that doesnt earn them any 'brownie points' with the Euro zone or help their 'quest' to be part of EU...

@hedgefunder: Euro is going down, Germany, the only functioning economy in EU zone, can not bail out the whole Europe. I am quite sure Turkey is not delusional and completely understand there is a zero chance of them joining EU - Otomons and Europe has quite a history...

Wow. There are a lot of short sighted suicidal recommendations coming from comments. Literally suicidal. If you think this incident is extremely bad, you really, really don't want to be on the receiving end of an actual offensive operation. It doesn't take a genius to analyze it for it to be obvious. Even just predicting one or two reactionary steps ahead is sufficient. Anyways... That promise has little to no value beyond supporting their statement of sympathy. There have already been stated intentions for inquiry announced not long after this drama started.

Since 9/11, There were 350+ major suicide bombings in Pakistan killing 35000 citizens before 9/11, there was only 1 suicide bombing in the 63 years of Pakistan's history
We lost 3000 troops fighting the militants in border regions and suffered extreme economic loss of 70+ billion dollars.
After America knew it has lost and failed the war in afghanistan, they tried to dump it on Pakistan. Your troops are desperate and your pentagon don't any answers.
