Football: Wapda humiliate Muslim FC

KARACHI: Defending champions Wapda trounced Muslim FC 4-1 in the Pakistan Premier Football League. Muhammad Afzal scored the opening goal in the first minute of the match and Zulfiqar Ali doubled the lead in the 56th minute.  Arif Mehmood scored in the 61st minute to put the result beyond doubt. The seven-time champions then added to Muslim FC’s humiliation with Afzal’s second goal in the 78th minute. Muslim FC’s captain Abdul Qadeer pulled a goal back in the 82nd minute but it provided scant consolation the losers.
