Rising taxes: Ship breakers to go on indefinite strike

HUB: Ship breakers at Gaddani, while declaring the increase in taxes by Balochistan Development Authority (BDA) as unjustified, have called an emergent meeting on Friday (today) for an indefinite strike. According to details, BDA recently imposed a tax of Rs100 per ton on steel scrap obtained from old and discarded ships brought at Gaddani ship breaking yard for dismantling.
