Designated: New CDA member finance appointed

Deputy Auditor General (Administration) Javed Jahangir as Member Finance of the CDA.

ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Wednesday appointed former Deputy Auditor General (Administration) Javed Jahangir as Member Finance of the Capital Development Authority (CDA). A formal appointment notification for Jahangir was issued by the establishment division. Meanwhile, the Capital Development Authority requested the cabinet division to let its former member finance Saeedur Rehman continue his services till the presentation of the civic authority’s budget for 2011-12. Earlier on June 8, the establishment division had cancelled Rehman’s contract after Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani rejected the summary of his extension for the post. Rehman had assumed charge as CDA’s member finance on October 18, 2008. His two-year contract period expired late in 2010.
