Football: Mahmood’s brace seals win for Wapda

Wapda striker Arif Mahmood was in brilliant form helping his team register a 2-1 win over HBL in the Pakistan Premier Football League. Mahmood scored the opener in the 21st minute ensuring Wapda went into the breather with a 1-0 lead. He found the net again in the 68th minute before HBL’s Shahid Ali scored a consolation goal in the 72nd. Meanwhile, the second match of the day saw Muslim FC beat PMC Athletico 1-0. Muhammad Dawood scored the winner in the 18th minute. Today’s fixtures will see PMC Athletico take on Pel, while Army and Police will face off in the other match.
