Khyber Agency killings: Army inquiry demanded into 6 corpses’ recovery

MNA threatens to raise issue in the National Assembly.

KHYBER AGENCY: Member of the National Assembly from Bara Hameedullah Jan Afridi has demanded Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kiyani and Peshawar Corps Commander set up an inquiry committee to probe the incident in which bodies of six missing persons were found in Khyber Agency.

Afridi said that “countless innocent people” were being killed in the military operation in the region. He threatened that if his demands are not met, he will raise the issue in the National Assembly.

Security forces found six bodies of people who went missing on Saturday. Bara Assistant Political Agent Rehan Gul Khatak said that the bodies, which belonged to Sipah and Malik Deenkhel tribes, were discovered by security forces near Inqilab Khor area and were handed over to him in Shah Kas area near Jamrud.

Khatak said that the bodies were placed in the Qambar Abad Chowk for recognition and deceased were identified as Syed Jan and Adam Shah of Sipah tribe and Riaz, Manzoor, Mian Khan and Ataur Rehman of the Malik Deen Kahel tribe.
