Halal meat: International conference on Dec 14, 15

LAHORE:

An international conference on promotion of halal meat will be organised in the city by the Pakistan Agriculture and Meat Company (PAMCO) on December 14 and 15. Delegates from 16 countries will attend the conference. 

PAMCO Chief Executive Officer Dr Hamid Jalil said the conference was being organised to promote Pakistani products in the international market so that halal meat exports could be boosted.

Dr Jalil said the conference would allow people from Pakistan’s agriculture and livestock sectors a chance to build their businesses by interacting with buyers in foreign countries. He said it was an opportune time to hold such an event as demand for Pakistani meat products in the international was increasing. He said he expected to sign agreements with two companies at the conference. Halal Research Council Chief Executive Officer Zubair Mughal said the conference would provide Pakistani businesses an opportunity to interact with their counterparts in foreign countries.
