A ceremony was held in the police head office in Karachi on Saturday to hand over this equipment to the police.
The equipment comprises of apparatus to check explosives material, a high-roof vehicle, four double cabin vehicles and 500 shields for riot control.
Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan and IG Sindh Mushtaq Shah were also present at the ceremony.
Martin said that the equipment will help Sindh Police in implementing peace in the province.
Earlier last month, Sindh police claimed that overall crime rate in the province declined this year on the basis of a report which contains comparative figures of crimes from January 1 till September 15 from 2010 and 2011. However, most of these crimes occurred in the provincial capital Karachi, according to official statistics.

@Asif Nizamani And they are used too hahahahahahha modren shamless beggers.
Special enough to protect special people (Zardari's. Gillanis and their masters), If possible US should also give us some honesty and loyalty, qualities which their police and LEA's possess!! So that the common man could have the same trust as a US citizen has on their LEA's
Special equipment? What's so special about explosive checking equipment, high roof and double cabin vehicle, and riot shields?
Are they special only because U.S gave them to us??
