No Identification: 82 nabbed during search operation

ISLAMABAD: During a search operation conducted on Friday in different areas in the outskirts of the city, the city police nabbed 82 people for failing to prove their identities. They included Afghan nationals and people from the tribal areas. Preparing for security in the month of Moharram, the police launched special checking drives in slums, hotels, inns, markets, under-construction buildings and residential areas in the suburbs of the city, where a large population of Afghan nationals reside. Different teams of Koral police, under the supervision of Superintendent of Police (Rural) Faisal Bashir Memon conducted thorough combing and search in the Bilal Town, Khana Dak, Soodra, Sharif Abad, Tarlai, Jhangi Syedan, Taramri, Service Road, Ghori Town, PWD Colony and National Police Foundation Colony areas.
