More than 1,350 voters will participate in the annual elections for the next managing committee of the Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) on Saturday at the Sindh High Court.
Anwar Mansoor Khan, the current committee president, Aamir Raza Naqvi and Yawar Farooqui are fighting for the presidency while ZK Jatoi, Shahab Sarki and Abdul Jabbar are contesting for the seat of honorary secretary. Syed Tauqeer Hussain, Anwar Rana and Ashiq Ali are fighting for the seat of vice president, while Majid Noman Khan and Raja Aftab Ahmed are fighting for treasurer. Ayaz Ahmed Ansari was elected the joint secretary unopposed.
Fifteen candidates are contesting for nine places as members of the managing committee. They are Saadat Yar Khan, Mushaffeh Ahmed, Muhammad Ikram Siddiqui, Zahida Khatoon Naqvi, Khursheed Javed, Khalida Khatoon, Syed Ahmed Ali Shaikh, Abdul Latif Shaikh, Akhlaq Ahmed Khan, Azizuddin Qureshi, Fareed Ahmed Dayo, Irfanullah Khan, Muhammad Arshad Khan Jadoon, Muhammad Aziz Khan and S Ghulam Mustafa.
The polling will commence at 9 am and will continue till 5 pm without any break.
