Day Camp: Empowering girls and young women

Junior guides, girl guides and senior guides of PGGA based in Islamabad participated in the camp

A day-long camp focusing on the development of girls and young women was held at the Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG) on Wednesday.


Junior guides, girl guides and senior guides of Pakistan Girls Guide Association (PGGA) based in Islamabad participated in the camp with dedication and exemplified their passion.

A seminar titled “Stop violence against women” was also held.

The camp was organised by PGGA and Asia Pacific Partnership Region (APPR) and aimed at the development of girls and young women in the fields of education, health and skills training.

APPR member Dr Crista Lim-Yuson thanked the organisers for arranging the camp and praised the services of the young volunteers.

Established in 1974, PGGA is a national voluntary semi-governmental organisation that designs and executes uplift programs for girls between the ages of 6 and 21.
