Seminar: Teachings of Iqbal, Rumi stressed

The philosophy of Allama Iqbal and Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi cannot be separated and it is necessary to follow their teachings to overcome the crisis in Pakistan.


This was said by former Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief secretary Muhammad Abdullah during a seminar on “Current Challenges and the Visions of Maulana Jalaluddin Roomi and Allama Iqbal” at International Islamic University Islamabad on Wednesday, said a press released issued by the university. He said that even though both poets lived in different periods of time, their ideologies were derived from the teachings of Islam.

What crap!

Rumi and Iqbal are as different as chalk and cheese. Philosophicaly and spiritualy they are of a different genre.
