Boxing: ‘Pacquiao won’t beat Mayweather’

LONDON: Amir Khan has sparked fears of a rift with Manny Pacquiao by claiming the Filipino would lose to pound-for-pound rival Floyd Mayweather if they fight each other. Pacquiao has come in for criticism following a less-than-convincing majority decision victory over Juan Manuel Marquez at the weekend, with many questioning whether the eight-time world champion is no longer at the peak of his powers. “On the strength of this performance, he wouldn’t beat Mayweather,” said Khan. “For his sake, we have to be honest. He is my friend. I am going to tell Manny to consider retirement and not go on too long.”

Its obvious why Khan is saying this, coz he himself want to fight Mayweather and break his streak(which he think he can do),and know if Mani take on Mayweather before him, there would be no point to fight a fighter who lost his streak to Mani!!!!
