Educating Women: 5 universities for women in Punjab

A grant of Rs1.5 billion to establish universities for women by converting girls’ colleges in Punjab.

FAISALABAD: The Punjab government has sectioned a grant of Rs1.5 billion to establish universities for women by converting girls’ colleges in five districts of the province including Faisalabad. According to Education Department officials, the Faisalabad university will be set up at the Government College for Women, Madina Town which shall be upgraded to university. Other universities will also be setup at Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Multan and Sialkot.
